Amazing hotel, I guess it has been renovated recently . The room is magnetic, and the staff can speak English quite well . Swimming pool, jacuzzis (3 of them), sauna and steam room, excellent gym with table tennis 🏓 equipments makes this property and excellent place to stay. Breakfast was excellent as I am a huge fan of Chinese food, not much of western food, but there are kids station, bread, coffee (good one) , sausage and bacon, and several other options of pastries such as croissants and danish. Thanks XiaoWu小伍 for the amazing service guiding us around the rooftop, taking pictures of us, and giving assistance providing all the important information on how to enjoy the hotel facilities . the only bad thing is the costumers , a huge amount of them smoke everywhere although there are signs saying the whole property is forbidden to smoke. The hotel should remove the ashtrays in front of the elevators . Unfortunately it is a problem in China when you go to hotels and makes very unpleasant the shared ventilation bringing smoking smell into other people’s room.

Bo Yin Hotel (Li River Secluded Hotel) Our visit to Guilin was to spend time with my wife’s large family and we twice stayed at the Li River Secluded hotel, for a total of 7 nights. Our expectations of a hotel experience are high, so we avoid using American chain hotels when possible. The Li River Secluded hotel more than met those expectations by combining exceptional customer service with a laid back, but luxurious guest experience. On arrival, we were offered a room upgrade. The upgrade accommodation was located on the ground floor, so this did not appeal to us until we were shown the room … the suite was spacious and tastefully furnished with a Zen motif that included a ceremonial tea table. Both my wife and I practice daily yoga, so the ample floor space immediately appealed to us. A room-width picture window featured a view of the Li River Lake and its pair of pagodas. Remote-controlled drapes and shears sound-proofed and eliminated light from the room when closed. A buffet daily breakfast on the 8th (top) floor was included and featured a good selection of both Chinese and Western options. We had family commitments that prevented us from eating dinner at the restaurant, but my wife hosted an afternoon tea session in the restaurant for some of her friends and the tea and pastries were excellent. In addition, fresh fruit was placed in the room every day, and the room refrigerator was refreshed daily with water, sodas, and snacks. The hotel was generally maintained in pristine condition and effected the highest standards of cleanliness. This applied to all the facilities apart from a small exercise room on the 5th floor. This consisted of a set of barbells (no bench), a fixed weight station (functional), and 2 treadmills, neither of which functioned properly … that said, I did use the weight station and the patio outside of the exercise room for yoga on a couple warmer days. There was also a guest laundry on the 5th floor which my wife used on one occasion. The customer service attitude in Chinese hotels is generally an improvement on what we are accustomed to in North America, but at the Bo Yin Hotel it’s exceptional. This means that English language speakers (I’m Canadian and my wife is Chinese by birth) would experience no problem in addressing any of the front desk, maid, or restaurant personnel. For those who prefer to order take-out food, a robotic delivery service is used, a feature that tends to fascinate any child you might be traveling with. Sean Bennett

Amazing location. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was nice. Decent selection of Chinese and Western breakfast choices. The Western restaurant is a bit expensive, but there are some great restaurants near the hotel. There is one amazing noodle shop about 1 block to the west. It is near an alleyway. Blue interior open on two sides. Cheap but amazing noodles. Also, there is another restaurant to the west with a wooden facade that has wonderful beer fish.

Right across from Elephant Park Scenic Area. The manager Alice speaks English and was very helpful. I got upgraded to a room with a view, which was very nice. I also bought the “extras package” which included a fruit plate, drinks, and a 1 1/2 hour visit to the park with a photographer. He doesn’t get paid by the hotel, but you can choose 5 photos free and then pay 20 rmb for the other ones you like. He knows all the angles and places, although I wish I had more time in the park just on my own. Breakfast is good, with DIY noodles and everything you would expect. The room was clean and spacious. I came in too late for the pick up service, but was given 50 rmb of my 100 rmb fare reimbursed. There is a nice rooftop bar on top! I would recommend for sure. Especially if you are just there for the night.

This hotel is the closest place to Ronghu Lake and Shanhu Lake and close to the urban area. The scenery is first-class at night, and it is very pleasant to take a walk at night! There are also swimming pools that children like. It is estimated that there will be an epidemic this year, and there is no popular situation in the past! What's even more surprising is that I can still meet my old colleague Meng sister from more than ten years ago. Of course, she has long been an official now. A very dedicated old hotel person, I pay tribute to the hotel people who have been sticking to the service industry!

This hotel was honestly a great stay if you wish to stay close to a few attractions. I had a two days stay but just a day to roam around and was able to do the Sun and Moon Towers, The Glass Bridge as well as Elephant Trunk hill all in one day. I also did Reed Flute Cave but that was a taxi ride away. The breakfast served was really yummy and they had a wide variety of options. They had toast and eggs, fresh fruit, rice, noodles and lots of other dishes. The hotel itself was very clean and I enjoyed the staff as they always greeted us when we walked into the main lobby area. If you happen to order in as I did on my last day, a robot will bring your food to you. Overall it was a great stay with modern facilities and thirty second walk to the lake. The rooms however although advertised as ‘lake view’ were only views of trees with maybe a tiny glimpse of the lake. Overall it was a great stay and I’d totally choose this place again.

1. Location: It is very close to the Two Rivers and Four Lakes cruise ship and Xiangshan. It can be reached on foot. There are shopping malls and restaurants around, making it convenient for eating and shopping. We went to Yangshuo by boat. After contacting the travel agency in advance, it was very convenient to take a bus in front of the hotel. 2. Parking: There are very few parking spaces in front of the hotel, but there is a three-dimensional parking lot not far away. Don't worry about not having a parking space. We went to Yangshuo, and our car can still be parked in the parking lot here, which is good.

The room is clean and tidy, and the service staff is friendly. The room I booked was a lake-view twin room. I could see Shan Lake and a tower. The location of the hotel is great! It is very close to Elephant Trunk Hill Park. You can reach Gate 1 of the park in about ten minutes' walk. It's very close to Shanhu Lake, just across the road! It is very convenient to take pictures of the Sun and Moon Twin Towers. The hotel has breakfast, which is a buffet breakfast with a rich variety (fried rice, fried noodles, fried rice noodles, eggs, bread, steamed buns, steamed buns, porridge, soy milk, sweet potatoes, Guilin rice noodles, fruits, etc.). The room can intelligently control light switches, curtain switches, TVs, air conditioners, etc. with voice control. The equipment is very advanced! Like, like! Recommend everyone to stay here! It would be even better if the room could add more lockers for luggage!

I often stay at this hotel on business trips. Because the hotel is in the city center, the most convenient thing is that the hotel has its own free parking lot, right next to the hotel. Because there is a lot of luggage, the uncle of the security guard in the parking lot is very considerate and helpful with luggage. He is very polite. The staff at the front desk of the hotel is also very professional and the check-in speed is very fast, and he helped us put the luggage into the room. The room is clean and tidy, and the hygiene is particularly meticulous. If you are rushing to this service, you must praise it and recommend it to everyone.

Room: 1017 (king bed & bunk bed); duration of stay: 4 nights. Family of 4 (including 6 & 11y.o. boys) Absolutely wonderful surprise to walk into this room and see how spacious it was along with many fun features which included kids’ bunk bed and slide down one side, playhouse tent, play area with small kids table and chairs and small rocking horse. A large kids play area (open 10am – 10pm) on the same floor (level 10) along with a very basic gym i.e. 1 treadmill, a couple of indoor bikes. Most guests on level 10 kept our doors open and kids could freely roam between their hotel room and play area. There is no safe in the room although the hotel was safe and secure (cameras on each floor). Our valuables were locked in our suitcase when not in the room. A nice touch of earplugs by our bedside (although we didn’t need them) and heated/electric toilet. Both kids and adults enjoyed the room and hotel. The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. Limited English and we communicated via translate app and my 11y.o. son who speaks intermediate Chinese. Use of sunscreen and other items available for free from reception counter. The hotel is very clean. Free laundry (front loading machines and a hanging rack heated dryer) including laundry powder (located on level 8). The pool was nice however given we visited late October, a bit on the cool side with the changing season. The breakfast spread was very good with a mixture of fruit, bread, dim sum, eggs (boiled, fried, scrambled), bacon, Chinese breakfast, tea, coffee, etc. 3 items, including noodles, on the breakfast menu to obtain freshly cooked. We also ate at the restaurant for dinner twice and both meals were fantastic (we recommend the T-bone steak!). Ordering is via scanning a QR code. Limited alcoholic spirits on the dinner menu. We booked a boat tour via the hotel tour desk using the translator app. The service was good and easy. We opted to get a taxi to the boat (rather than the group van which left an hour earlier and cost RMB10pp) however upon arriving to the boat ticket office outside the boats they tried to redirect us to a different location. We communicated with the hotel tour desk via WeChat which was quick and very helpful as they sent photos of the desk we needed to be at (which was a table next door to the ticket office). The process was smooth and easy. The use of the spa is 50% off for hotel guests and from memory it opens at 3pm. Suggest to book ahead as the spa does book out quickly. The location is good; a walk away from Guilin Pagoda Hill, Elephant hill (10 min walk), Starbucks on the opposite side of the road less than 10 minute walk away, 2 KFC’s, food, taxi stand to the left of the hotel, night market, shopping, etc. Great features of this hotel: • Fun hotel and fantastic for kids • Very clean and safe • Good location • Good breakfast spread, lunch/dinner options • Taxi stand less than 1 minute walk For awareness: • SYYF has 2 locations. Taxi’s kept dropping us back at the other location. Therefore take the address in Chinese and make sure the taxi drivers read the address (not just look at the logo)

The location is great. Close to the most of the attentions. You can see twin towers from the window. But the window view is not exactly as on their pictures. All pictures are from the top flour. If you get 2 or 3 flour the view is not the same. Ask for the 4th flour. As for the room it's ok but for this money you can find something better. The bed was uncomfortable and the air-conditioning is too old, it's loud and the air coming out of it is smelly. And it's in front of the bed so it will be blowing that smelly air in your face all night. The only reason I may come back here is for the view. But I think it's better to choose more convenient hotel and watch towers from the park. From the park they view is better than from the window

We arrived late 9-10pm and check-in was quick. Room was big and very clean. Staff at breakfast were welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was good, Chinese style. I love dumplings. Down side, waited about 30+min trying to book a tour for the next morning, communication was difficult. The tour company expected our passport number to be visible on the green code, but only a few digits were visible. They asked us to remove the * from the passport numbers. Eventually after all the waiting, we were exhausted and highly frustrated so, we decided to find a different tour agent and then, miraculously she said the tour was booked when we were about to leave the hotel. Hotel is good. Maybe book tours elsewhere there are many in the pedestrian street. We didn't experience this problem with other tour companies the area.

I came to play with my family. The hotel room was very clean. The things inside were also very complete. There were everything. The drinks had Oriental leaves and the vitality forest. I thought it was a charge. I asked the front desk for free and felt good. Breakfast is also very high-end, when you eat breakfast, you can see the city view of Guilin through the window, the Danish bag is also very delicious, asked the restaurant sister is freshly baked, with yogurt to eat together, very delicious, the hotel is going out to the opposite side of the building is Little Hong Kong, and Zhengyang Pedestrian Street, It’s also very fast to go out and take a taxi. It’s also very convenient to take the bus. My family and I are very satisfied with this trip.

Loved this hotel. It looked newly renovated so everything in the room was in great condition! Very worth the price we paid :) Location is great too, it's on the pedestrian street itself with plenty of food options nearby, and within walking distance to the twin pagodas and Elephant Trunk Mountain park. My family was very happy staying here. Service was quick and efficient too. Our first time at an Atour hotel and we will definitely consider staying at other Atour hotels in future.

A lovely stay, despite a hiccup. Super comfortable bed and really clean room. Lots of interesting little artefacts and communal areas in the hotel and the staff are super friendly and helpful. We stayed for a one night stopover in Guilin before heading to the Longshen fields and it was perfect for this. It's right next to Elephant trunk hill so we were able to tick that off easily despite a very short stay. We had one night in Longshen coming up next and needed a way to get there the next day. We thought instead of taking the public bus we would check with the hotel to see if they did any direct shuttles. They said they'd be able to fit us in with their tour van the next day and although it was a scheduled tour, they could arrange to drop us off at a point near our next hotel if we paid for the seats and entry fee for the Longshen fields. It turned out there was a bit of a miscommunication and we ended up stuck on the tour for quite some time (including a lunch stop we didn't really want) before they reached our drop off point. The tour driver was also supposed to drop us off in an area past a payment checkpoint in Longshen but we were dropped off outside of it and had to pay the entrance fee again. The hotel attempted to help by sending us receipts of the payment made and asked us to go to the ticket office to seek a refund for the double up. The ticket office was a bit far from where we were staying and we simply did not have time to do that given our tight schedule. It was a bit annoying as it wasn't our fault that the tour driver dropped us off at the wrong place and we weren't re-imbursed for his mistake. We understand though that this all came down to a bit of a miscommunication and a language barrier (most the staff only spoke Mandarin but I can only speak Cantonese so could only communicate to one of the staff members). Everyone was trying their best to accommodate our request, so we are understanding of that. The mistake happened because we were trying to be too clever but ended up getting something we didn't want. My advice for anyone doing the same thing heading to Longshen from the area is to just use the public bus services as it will be much easier (and cheaper).

This place offers an excellent value for money. It's not luxurious at all, the bathroom is shared but totally clean and my room had heating (which is much appreciated during this winter season 😁) The location is great because it's very close to the city's main attractions, so I didn't spend any money on transport. Additionally, the lady at the front desk was really kind and helpful, she even took me to a wonderful restaurant to try local food. I will be glad to come back soon!

This hotel is in a good location, very close to Elephant Trunk Hill, the front desk is excellent, the waiters always smile at me and quickly deal with my needs. The service is also very good, the comfort and stability of the stay, in short, I live here very comfortable. The staff in the store were warm and thoughtful, they were really patient and helped me very well. The interior design of the hotel is exquisite, and every detail is handled in accordance with the highest quality standards.
