Amazing hotel, I guess it has been renovated recently . The room is magnetic, and the staff can speak English quite well . Swimming pool, jacuzzis (3 of them), sauna and steam room, excellent gym with table tennis 🏓 equipments makes this property and excellent place to stay. Breakfast was excellent as I am a huge fan of Chinese food, not much of western food, but there are kids station, bread, coffee (good one) , sausage and bacon, and several other options of pastries such as croissants and danish. Thanks XiaoWu小伍 for the amazing service guiding us around the rooftop, taking pictures of us, and giving assistance providing all the important information on how to enjoy the hotel facilities . the only bad thing is the costumers , a huge amount of them smoke everywhere although there are signs saying the whole property is forbidden to smoke. The hotel should remove the ashtrays in front of the elevators . Unfortunately it is a problem in China when you go to hotels and makes very unpleasant the shared ventilation bringing smoking smell into other people’s room.

Amazing location. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was nice. Decent selection of Chinese and Western breakfast choices. The Western restaurant is a bit expensive, but there are some great restaurants near the hotel. There is one amazing noodle shop about 1 block to the west. It is near an alleyway. Blue interior open on two sides. Cheap but amazing noodles. Also, there is another restaurant to the west with a wooden facade that has wonderful beer fish.

Bo Yin Hotel (Li River Secluded Hotel) Our visit to Guilin was to spend time with my wife’s large family and we twice stayed at the Li River Secluded hotel, for a total of 7 nights. Our expectations of a hotel experience are high, so we avoid using American chain hotels when possible. The Li River Secluded hotel more than met those expectations by combining exceptional customer service with a laid back, but luxurious guest experience. On arrival, we were offered a room upgrade. The upgrade accommodation was located on the ground floor, so this did not appeal to us until we were shown the room … the suite was spacious and tastefully furnished with a Zen motif that included a ceremonial tea table. Both my wife and I practice daily yoga, so the ample floor space immediately appealed to us. A room-width picture window featured a view of the Li River Lake and its pair of pagodas. Remote-controlled drapes and shears sound-proofed and eliminated light from the room when closed. A buffet daily breakfast on the 8th (top) floor was included and featured a good selection of both Chinese and Western options. We had family commitments that prevented us from eating dinner at the restaurant, but my wife hosted an afternoon tea session in the restaurant for some of her friends and the tea and pastries were excellent. In addition, fresh fruit was placed in the room every day, and the room refrigerator was refreshed daily with water, sodas, and snacks. The hotel was generally maintained in pristine condition and effected the highest standards of cleanliness. This applied to all the facilities apart from a small exercise room on the 5th floor. This consisted of a set of barbells (no bench), a fixed weight station (functional), and 2 treadmills, neither of which functioned properly … that said, I did use the weight station and the patio outside of the exercise room for yoga on a couple warmer days. There was also a guest laundry on the 5th floor which my wife used on one occasion. The customer service attitude in Chinese hotels is generally an improvement on what we are accustomed to in North America, but at the Bo Yin Hotel it’s exceptional. This means that English language speakers (I’m Canadian and my wife is Chinese by birth) would experience no problem in addressing any of the front desk, maid, or restaurant personnel. For those who prefer to order take-out food, a robotic delivery service is used, a feature that tends to fascinate any child you might be traveling with. Sean Bennett

Right across from Elephant Park Scenic Area. The manager Alice speaks English and was very helpful. I got upgraded to a room with a view, which was very nice. I also bought the “extras package” which included a fruit plate, drinks, and a 1 1/2 hour visit to the park with a photographer. He doesn’t get paid by the hotel, but you can choose 5 photos free and then pay 20 rmb for the other ones you like. He knows all the angles and places, although I wish I had more time in the park just on my own. Breakfast is good, with DIY noodles and everything you would expect. The room was clean and spacious. I came in too late for the pick up service, but was given 50 rmb of my 100 rmb fare reimbursed. There is a nice rooftop bar on top! I would recommend for sure. Especially if you are just there for the night.

I have stayed in many hotels, and this is the first time I choose Hanting. Surprisingly, this Hanting Hotel is extremely cost-effective among chain hotels with the same price. The room is very clean, which is what I am most satisfied with, followed by the environment, quiet and adjacent to the river. The front desk made reasonable arrangements after knowing my request for the room, the service attitude was good, and the guests were very friendly. The variety of breakfast is very rich, more delicious than the rice noodles I ate outside. I can eat all the special flavors of Guilin. It is very cost-effective to book a room with meals. Before leaving, the front desk gave me sweet-scented osmanthus cake for me to eat on the way. The auntie in the room said goodbye politely. Overall, I am very satisfied and will recommend it to my friends.

When I was booking a hotel, I made the decision immediately after seeing the environment on the cover. After we arrived in the middle of the night, a young man was waiting for us at the door to receive us enthusiastically. He helped us check in and guided us to the room. It felt very comfortable to check in. The night view is beautiful. When we woke up in the morning and sent us out, we felt the comfortable, clean and fresh environment of the hotel in the park. Breathing the fresh air made me feel better. Facilities: Although it is not a new and modern hotel with a sense of technology, it embodies the leisure and comfort of vacation everywhere. The rooms and stores are clean and fragrant, and it is very suitable for couples and families.

The hotel is in a good location, very close to the attractions, a five-minute walk. You have to pass through a tourist parking lot to get in. It's a bit dangerous for cars to pass by. On the day you left the store, there was a car scratching at the door. The hotel shares the same building with another J Group mid-range brand hotel, and the two elevators are pretty good. I didn't expect that the current Hanting brand design is so good. There are four bottles of water in the room, and it is generally very clean. The shower room is also equipped with music, which is good to listen to while taking a bath.

I was very pleasantly surprised. The stay was so comfortable. There was a small courtyard and a cafe. Breakfast was American-style sandwiches. I also had my obedient Corgi to accompany me for breakfast. I was so happy! The hotel is near the water and has a very good environment. It is quiet in the bustle. There is a delicious rice noodle shop at the door. It is also close to the scenic spots. I will definitely stay here next time I come to Guilin!

The homestay is located in the old town, so it's not too hard to find! If you rent a car, it is convenient to pick up the car, just next to the Sheraton Hotel! The room is newly decorated, very clean! There is also a warm plate in the toilet, which is very considerate! When I went to the rooftop bar to look at the menu at night, I was invited to drink beer by the young lady. Surprise! Next time I come here, I will choose this place and recommend it to my friends! Next to the pedestrian street and two rivers and four lakes, very convenient!

Loved this hotel. It looked newly renovated so everything in the room was in great condition! Very worth the price we paid :) Location is great too, it's on the pedestrian street itself with plenty of food options nearby, and within walking distance to the twin pagodas and Elephant Trunk Mountain park. My family was very happy staying here. Service was quick and efficient too. Our first time at an Atour hotel and we will definitely consider staying at other Atour hotels in future.

Hotel location is really good. I will suggest that one should book queen bedroom for fantastic view. Guest bedroom view is not so great. But Guest bedroom is also great to stay if you want an economical room. Elephant trunk hill is from walking distance, zhengyang pedestrian street is just on the bak side of hotel, ludi flute cave is on 10 minutesby taxi, two river four lake park is on walking distance.

Great location which is convenient for the walking street near by and other places such as the temple. It is not a “staycation” type of hotel, rather more of a place you would drop your bags and head out to walk around😊 The hotel is very basic and perfect for that over night stop. The staff are very friendly and there are people who can help organize tours etc. It’s not overly loud and the room is very neat, spacious and clean. Lovely little tea set in the window. For a long stay it may not be ideal for most, as from the rooms there is no view, but for a overnight stop or just as a place to sleep, it is certainly convenient and great value 😊 Ps a taxi cannot physically take you right there as it is in the middle of a walking street. But they can drop you very close.

The boss is very good, we can't find the underground parking lot, help to adjust a room with a ground parking lot, the room is near the scenic spot, there are many dining and snacks around, about 10 yuan from the two rivers and four lakes in the east and west lanes, can also help buy night tours of the two rivers and four lakes tickets. The inn is a villa in nature, the entrance is very tall, the room is clean, the bathroom is dry and wet, and the better is that the two beds are separated in two rooms. Awesome 👍!

A lovely stay, despite a hiccup. Super comfortable bed and really clean room. Lots of interesting little artefacts and communal areas in the hotel and the staff are super friendly and helpful. We stayed for a one night stopover in Guilin before heading to the Longshen fields and it was perfect for this. It's right next to Elephant trunk hill so we were able to tick that off easily despite a very short stay. We had one night in Longshen coming up next and needed a way to get there the next day. We thought instead of taking the public bus we would check with the hotel to see if they did any direct shuttles. They said they'd be able to fit us in with their tour van the next day and although it was a scheduled tour, they could arrange to drop us off at a point near our next hotel if we paid for the seats and entry fee for the Longshen fields. It turned out there was a bit of a miscommunication and we ended up stuck on the tour for quite some time (including a lunch stop we didn't really want) before they reached our drop off point. The tour driver was also supposed to drop us off in an area past a payment checkpoint in Longshen but we were dropped off outside of it and had to pay the entrance fee again. The hotel attempted to help by sending us receipts of the payment made and asked us to go to the ticket office to seek a refund for the double up. The ticket office was a bit far from where we were staying and we simply did not have time to do that given our tight schedule. It was a bit annoying as it wasn't our fault that the tour driver dropped us off at the wrong place and we weren't re-imbursed for his mistake. We understand though that this all came down to a bit of a miscommunication and a language barrier (most the staff only spoke Mandarin but I can only speak Cantonese so could only communicate to one of the staff members). Everyone was trying their best to accommodate our request, so we are understanding of that. The mistake happened because we were trying to be too clever but ended up getting something we didn't want. My advice for anyone doing the same thing heading to Longshen from the area is to just use the public bus services as it will be much easier (and cheaper).
