Wingate by Wyndham Gunnison Near Western Colorado University

Double queen bed room for my husband and our two young grandchildren. Only one bed had fresh linens, the other was unmade and had clearly been slept in. There were only 2 towels and a used bar of soap. The room had not been cleaned and had a musty, damp smell. I inquired about getting the bed made and the bathroom cleaned and was told they didn't have adequate housekeeping staff, but I could have some fresh linens if I wanted! I changed the bed and scavenged some additional towels from the pool area. When i asked about a reduced rate due to my inconvenience, I was told to contact Trip.com. They compensated me $20 on a $239/night room. I don't feel compensated...I feel irritated! I certainly will not use Trip.com again, nor will I look for Choice brand hotels for upcoming stays. My grands were so thrilled with the idea of a hotel with a pool....we could only stay in the pool area a few minutes due to the overpowering chlorine. We were all coughing and had irritated eyes...fun!

Find another place to stay! WiFi didn’t work half the time, Rooms need to be updated, electrical outlets need to be replaced, phone adapters fall out of the socket, toilet leaks around the base, sink faucets need to be updated, drapes didn’t close, TV cable ran across the floor of another doorway, terrible breakfast, front desk staff couldn’t understand questions, airport, shuttle driver didn’t open the doors or help with luggage , he didn’t earn a tip! ( I was injured and couldn’t lift my luggage)

The location is excellent. It was an easy walk to many restaurants and shops. The toilet was not in good repair. Sometimes it didn’t fill the tank and sometimes it just kept running. We could fix it by taking the tank lid off and tapping the float but it was annoying.

For under $80 a night, this was a great place to stay. It is clean and the King room was very spacious. There were a few maintenance issues with bathroom water pressure and the public hot tub jets, but they weren't big problems, and I don't expect perfection for this price.

The Red Arrow Inn in Gunnison, Colorado, exceeded my expectations in every way. The warm and welcoming atmosphere, coupled with the friendly staff, made my stay memorable. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, providing a cozy retreat after a day of exploring the beautiful surroundings. Older hotel that was recently renovated. Was clean. Walkable to Main Street with a number of restaurants and coffee shops.

Never again will I stay there. Worse room ever, not happy with service, cleanliness. Room stunk. Over all I will never recommend this hotel, not even to my worse enemy. What more do you want to me to say? Worse ever.

Can't beat the price! Location is perfect. 30 minutes to Crested Butte or 45 minutes to Monarch. Short walk to restaurants. Easy and fast checkin. Hot breakfast with options. Room and bathroom were both very clean. Stayed here in the winter and summer.

I enjoyed staying here the staff are very friendly and go above and beyond to help customers. My son and I flew into IGunninson,Co and had no transportation to move around in town, this hotel picked us up from the airport and made us feel welcomed like family.
