Hotel SJ International

Very poor hotel, need complete maintenance over haul, rooms too smelly, looking to wear out, had to ask to change everything from linen to blanket cover. Still these linens were looking pale and not white at all. And washroom is so dirty that a common toilet in a average hotel would be better than attached washroom of this expensive hotel. Too frustrating a stay for us. Please avoid this hotel at any price point. We stayed there on 12 Nov 2023.

Not so international about this hotel. Torn linen. Toilet jet spray not working. Lousy services. One can get a better deal with Treebo. The only advantage is very close to the market. I was searching the web and this hotel was poping now and then. Checked it and thought would be a better choice. But did not find anything which could impress me to rebook it again.

We are a very senior citizen couple over 70 years of age. We found the hotel on the internet and stayed here for only six hours of rest in the afternoon/evening because we had a late night flight to catch from Guwahati. The room no 102 (twin-bedded) allotted to us had all the required facilities like fridge, TV, electric kettle, AC, but it was very cramped. The toilet seat had ***y yellow spots and marks, the single towel in the bathroom was damp and frayed. Some water lines were rusted. There was only one single cup provided for tea coffee even though there were two of us. The door was defective. Hotel has a lift and a restaurant. But, surprisingly, on the day of our visit the restaurant was closed for the public because it was apparently reserved for a private party. We were therefore compelled to eat in the room with our guest and it was all very cramped and uncomfortable. The food was extremely average. However the hotel is very well located in Paltan Bazar, Guwahati, and is extremely budget friendly. Recommended for an overnight stay for young or budget conscious people or honeymooning couples who can ignore the small irritants. Absolute value for money.

Location of this hotel was perfect, room was small but comfortable and clean. Service was bad. We were getting dirty water in the bathroom and despite telling them 4-5 times no body attended or even bother to call back or help with bucket water. Bathroom was dirty too, cracked sink and old stained pot. We had asked for an extra pillow, which was rudely denied by the staff. Need an immediate change in services if they want better reviews.

The hotel is really close to the railway station. The room are decently big and good enough services. The food served at the restaurant is excellent. The staff is courtious. I have only praises for the hotel.

Needed to change to other hotel. Bathroom dirty, broken stuff, not a hotel where we would liked to stay.

Dirty, bathroom awful, can not recommend this hotel. We left after 1 hour and booked better hotel.
