Marks Place Moorea

Mark is an amazing, welcoming guy who has created a way for folks to stay in Moorea economically. His bungalows are neat, beautifully built, colorful, private, and have everything in working order for you to enjoy your stay on the island. We had so many questions from our first time being there and as a nearly 40 year resident, Mark is a great resource for everything. He offers wonderful advice, even when it means you may patronize a neighbor. He mostly wants you to have the greatest time of your life.

Mark’s Place in Ha’apiti, Moorea is an amazing Tahitian surf experience. Mark himself is a true renaissance craftsman with a diverse variety of Fare accommodations. The kitchens are ideal for creating gourmet meals with fresh baguettes and Ahi tuna. The clean and well lighted bathrooms and warm water showers are airy yet private. His welcoming personality and knowledge of the local culture are only surpassed by his smile and generosity. Always willing to share insights for waterfall hikes and adventures beyond his beloved valley. His architectural structures offer relaxation for single travelers to larger groups. The beautiful grounds are abundant with fruiting and flowering native plants and palms. After travelling the world and the seven seas we will always return to Mark’s Place to roll kayaks out to clean, spinner dolphin laden surf. A must stop on the intrepid wave rider itinerary.

Mark’s place is awesome. It’s clean, comfortable, beautiful, spacious, quiet except the sound of nature, and staff is incredibly nice. Mark is super hospitable. He makes sure all his guests enjoy their stay and have a good time. You can also keep your luggage there before you check in and after check out. He offers a lot of travel tips and an easy map of sightseeing landmarks. He and his place absolutely made my trip very memorable. Thanks Mark and all your helpful staff for everything!

Cannot recommend this place enough. Honestly the best place we stayed in our 3 months travelling across French Polynesia. Mark and the team are super friendly, and will make sure you have the best time, whether its surfing, hiking, etc. Mark has lived on the island for 40+ years and knows exactly where to go and what to do! Also loved the accommodation (hand build furniture !) and in a beautiful setting. Please don't change - we'll be back. Cheers Mark - Alex from England.

Mark’s place is just amazing. First of all, Mark is a super nice men, he will make you feel so welcome and comfortable! He will also give you the best recommendations about what to do in Moorea, you will get excited just from hearing it! Also, he is the one bulding all the cabins! All of them are super nice and pretty, we were lucky to stay in three different ones and we loved them all! each cabin has been thought out in detail, which ever one you choose you will be amazed with the decoration and you will feel comfortable and cozy. Everything is super clean. Be aware that you will be in the middle of the nature so, of course, expect bugs, lizards, spiders and friendly dogs and cats to be around.. and enjoy it because that is also the nice part of it!! If you are surfing, this is definitely the best spot to be! It’s right in front of Haapiti, the best surf spot in the island! You just need to rent a nice canoe at Mark’s and walk down a few meters to the beach. We couldn’t be more happy with our stay at Mark’s!

mark cares very much about your stay and makes you feel most welcomed. he had pointed out places to visit, places to eat and made sure i was happy , I will most definitely be going back to Tahiti, and Moorea, and in Moore stay at marks place.

Maybe you remember 4 people from Edmonton Canada. We are exactly from Polen. We not forgot haw fantastic was in your place. Now we retired and thinking what we can do with rest of our life. My favorite place was French Polinezja. I have enough colder Canada and want move for warmer climate. It was exactly on your nice place. And can you cal to government and ask what we need to do for moving to Moorea? As Europa members can we stay on Moorea and buy apar**ent or home? This is only for me and my wife Halina. I remember you told as Moorea is in European Union than maybe is possible. I hope it is not difficult for you and maybe we get possibilities leave in your beautiful Morea! We were canceled on by them 3 days before our stay. The host was very rude to my fiancé. When i questioned what was happening, trying to understand the situation that evening and find out if there was a solution. He then proceeded to get more enraged, without me saying a word, going so far as to insult her again. The owner passed the blame to, he referred to "his girls". I cant speak for the accommodation but the service was appalling!

Mark’s Place is one of a kind!. The backdrop encircling the property is gorgeous and Mark was warm, professional, and accommodating. Truly a gem -- go here! The fare we were put in let us experience Moʻorea in comfort and with an authentic feel. Unforgettable.
