Great location, relaxed and super helpful staff, and quirky but lovely accommodation. Easy walk to the shops and beach, bistro next door and a really good local pub (The Pour House). Gardens look great and beautiful birdsong in the morning too.

We loved our one night stay, from the booking to check in to our beautiful clean and tidy room, the gardens were gorgeous, reminded us of a recent stay at a flash resort in Bali, parking was right outside our door, all was superb. Will definitely recommend and will be back to stay for longer next time!

Very hospitable hosts. Lovely, private, clean and modern accommodation. Within town of Hahei so close to beach, shops and cafe. Very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend to other travellers.

amazing! the best hotel we've stayed in on that trip so far!! comfortable, clean, well located! People were very kind :) we were worried about the absence of AC, but the natural breeze was enough! nothing bad...everything was perfect! All the family loved it!

We stayed in the self contained cottage and it was fantastic. Beautiful, spacious, modern whilst keeping the ambience of the Church feel. Private and quiet. Amenities were great, spades and beach towels for hot water beach available. BBQ area and lounge for additional space if required. Dinner at the Church was also fantastic. Great location in Hahei.

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We had an adjoining room, close to the restaurant, and it was a bit noisy. We could also hear the people in the room next door. I personally really dislike shower curtains! Heated towel rail was nice though. Close to town and the beach.

Wonderful staff and great location with parking. The room was very nice, with a small deck area. The only downside was very little privacy on the decking and we could hear the people in the next room talking on their phone, so we wondered what they could hear from our room. Otherwise a very nice stay.

We were just overwhelmed by this stunning accomodation. We have already seen many holiday places in the world bust this one is just stunning. The whole resort is very is a jewel. Gardens and surroundings are just eye catching. The owners Anna & Andreas as well as their manager Glen are running this extraordinary accomodation with a love for details, customer orientation and highly professional hospitality service. The Church bistro is a highly recommended place to eat. The Souza family is putting their full professionalism in cooking & servicing in place create a unforgettable evening dinner. We enjoyed our time at Church accomodation and bistro very much and will come back for sure in 2025. Thank you anna, Andreas, Glen and the whole Church team for that superbe expereince

We knew from the reviews we had read that this would be a good choice but, in reality, it far exceeded our expectations. It certainly has the wow factor. We stayed in one of the self- contained cottages which gave us the flexibility to cook our own meals which was welcomed after nearly a week of hotel and restaurant food. We did order the breakfast, however, and we’re glad we did as eating it on the veranda to the sound of birdsong was fantastic and the quality was superb. It is only a short drive to Hot Water Beach and spades and beach towels were provided. It was so good that that we visited every day. If you decide to stay at The Church you won’t be disappointed. We definitely intend to return when we visit NZ next time.
