We just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel! Our two boys are 3 & 4 and they honestly had the best time! The hotel is so well catered to young children. The staff are so friendly and the animation team are brilliant with both the adults and kids! There is always something to do going on in the hotel and the evening entertainment was great! The pools are lovely and plenty of sunbeds which we had no issues getting everyday. The room itself was a great size and we had a huge terrace! We were bed and breakfast, the selection every morning had everything anyone could want! We've already booked to go back again next year🙈

Very similar to a large hostel with good bungalows (with a kitchenette, kettle, microwave) many children, many small pools on the territory There is a shop on site (prices are above average), a cafe where you can buy breakfast / dinner The disadvantage is that there is no access to the sea-ocean, as such. (there is a certain bay on the territory, more like a paddling pool) To swim you need to go along the promenade along the sea to the beach

We have been to this hotel 2 times before and loved it. I always recommend it to people. The location is spot on, entertainment is super and drinks are great. The hotel also has a great a**osphere and friendly staff. Booking for our 3rd time, this time directly with the hotel, we didn't have a great experience which is a shame. Our room was 321 which was very far away from the lobby (4 corridor lengths from reception) overlooking a cement basketball course and a kids club hut. It was also crawling with these silverfish bugs, they were coming out of the shower and drains. I informed reception and asked if at all possible during the week (didnt even have to be that day) could we move rooms and they told me for the full week there was not another room spare. They would just spray the bugs and we would have to stay put. I spoke to the reservations dept who told me the only way to move rooms was to pay an €800 upgrade fee for a suite. Bit shocking to be honest when we are repeat customers. Our friends came 3 days later (their first visit booked with loveholidays) and were given a better location room than us so we knew it could have been changed, even mid week, so it was very disappointing. We also always enjoy the food, there are plenty of good options during dinner. There a hotdogs during the day which is great and breakfast is lovely. But during our trip this time, my husband ate a chicken skewer from the bbq area during lunch which was completely raw inside. We tried to find someone in charge as there were elderly and pregnant people being served this but there was no one around. Out of 4 of us we found 2 servings were not cooked well enough to eat. We always loved coming here, the beach across the road is amazing. It's a shame about this experience, it has put us off coming back. However, in saying that it is was only 1 bad experience out of 3 visits. We might give it another chance in a year or 2.

We went to Barcelo Active Resort for our Honeymoon from the 21st Feb 2024 to 2nd March 2024 (All Inclusive) and we were very happy with our stay. It is a lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff that are very polite and welcoming. They put on entertainment every night, although some can be a little repetitive, it was still enjoyable to watch and be apart of. The food at the hotel is nice with lots of variety and choice, there is something different every day which is a plus. They even do a roast on a Sunday! Our hotel room was spotless, it was a lovely room, however not many hangers if there is 2 of you wanting to hang your clothes up. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from the centre with shops and bars a long the way, alternatively the hotel will call a taxi for you if you aren't up for the walk. There are taxi ranks dotted all over the centre so it is easy to get back. It is a very windy island so please be cautious of that, however when the sun is out, the wind is a nice addition. Unfortunately we had a few days of clouds too which made it a little chilly at times, but the sun did make its appearance at some point in the day. It is a very active hotel with lots to do during the day, for example yoga at 11am then a cocktail demonstration at 3:15pm. You won't get bored here! All in all, we had a wonderful 10 days at Barcelo and will definitely be back at some point. If you are wanting to do some excursion while you're there, then I would highly recommend you do the Grand Tour excursion! It is a full day and costs 99 euros per person but it is incredible and so worth it! We loved our Honeymoon here🤍

Stayed with family- 2 kids aged 8&12yrs. Didn’t have high expectations as was a cheap holiday. However have been pleasantly surprised by how good it has been. Lots to do, the entertainment lads were fantastic- really friendly and good with the kids. Activities such as bowling, football, crazy golf (all free), and bingo for 1euro. Pool bar reasonably priced, staff there friendly. A relaxed and friendly vibe thought out the complex. Only issue would be no air con- not a problem for us at this time of year but would be very hot in the summer months. Location wise- within walking distance of 3 beaches. The first (Bastian) the smallest & sea can be choppy if windy, but great for exploring the rocks & pools. Second beach up has lots of fish. Take some food to give them and you will be surrounded! Lots of restaurants & bars nearby… too much choice actually and difficult to find food better than mediocre. I would recommend Los Amigos for food. Serving tapas and other local cuisine. Absolutely amazing and reasonably priced. It’s hidden away but easy to find- sign posted on the right as you walk down to Bastian beach. There’s an Italian on the road down to the beach too (can’t remember the name but it began with an S!). We didn’t go, but were told it was nice and it was always booked up. We took a holiday away to a favourited location of ours, Lanzarote and decided to stay at the AEQUORA suites as it looked professional and relaxing enough to get away from stress. However little did we know a stress free holiday was going to become more stressful. One night as we were coming back from a walk towards the sea front, my mother used one of the ”disabled friendly” access ramps. She fell backwards on property of the hotel and has now become even more disabled with issues to walk and pelvis problems. She got an MRI at our local hospital yesterday and has confirmed that she has dislodged discs in her spine with nerve issues due to the fall, on a ramp that was supposed to be disable friendly. We spoke to one of the management who was lovely, but tried to blame the local Lanzarote council for the ramp and the fall. However the fall happened on the grounds and they're not willing to take responsibility for the incident. We were told to go to the hospital in Lanzarote but my mother declined as she has spent so much time in hospital recently and wanted a break. Not only did the fall happen once, but TWICE!!! Can't really label this hotel being disabled friendly if all it does is make the disabled, more disabled. Another problem we encountered was discrimination from the staff at AEQUORA, this doesn't apply to everyone but specifically the female assistant manager. With my mother being bound to a wheelchair for long distance and a walking stick for short distance because she has walking issues, we wanted to sit at a double table made for four, but only three of us were attending that table. We needed a bigger table and a quieter walk way so my mother doesn't get knocked and has a fall (Common occurrence here). However we were approached by a rude assistant manager who started saying how we weren't allowed to sit here and had to sit at a small 2 person table for 3 in a area with a lot of footfall, a tripping hazard for my mother and even my elderly grandfather. Me and my grandfather tried to explain to her that we needed to sit at a four person table (even though there is 3 of us) due to my mothers disability, which she rudely ignored and started putting her finger in me and my grandfathers face then ignored us and started talking down to my mother. For which my mother couldn't stick up for herself due to not having a voice at the minute due to medical reasons. I couldn't believe my eyes after the amount we have paid to come here, and the labels this hotel establishes itself with. After both these incidents we spoke our concerns to the Guest experience manager who was incredible. He gave us a table for 4 for us 3, and had a technician to come repair my mothers wheelchair temporarily which has now fully fallen apart due to the falls which occurred on site at the AEQUORA suites. I think this hotel is great for kids and families as long as there is no disabilities. Which is quite disappointing to see as you would think most places would be no

Nice looking hotel with a friendly welcome when we checked in. The Room We had booked a sea view, hot tub room. After reading peoples reviews I sent an email before we traveled asking about sun on the balcony. I was told sun is on the balcony for half the day and we accepted this. This was not true and the balcony did not get any sun. The hot tub is more like a bath and you are overlooked by street passers by. Certainly not worth the money and only used once. The bath took around 45 mins to fill up which is hardly positive for the environment. Tip - room only sea view with open roof balcony. All inclusive? At check in offered all inclusive for €59 each per day. We declined and the best decision we ever made. The hotel is perfectly located and you have a huge range of bars, restaurants and shops on our doorstep. The average large beer cost is between €2\3 and a good quality steak €17 Tip - 100% not Restaurant Nightmare. Total lack of staff full stop. Breakfast. Wacky races. 1. Fight your way into the seating area. 2. Find a table that is not piled high of dirty dishes. 3. Find staff to locate cutlery and a cup for coffee and glass for juice. 4. Only 2 coffee points so wait in a long line then read instructions to work the machine after a time give up and use the filtered coffee next to the machine. 5. Enter the food area and join another long line of grumpy people waiting for the single member of staff servicing eggs, omelettes and pancakes. Very narrow area that also houses bread. 6. Return to table stressed then listen to death row music over and over again. Dinner. Much the same with rather bland similar food each day. Still searching for a table, then hunt down service for cutlery, and drinks. We complained most days as it was simply terrible and very stressful. We got an hour in the spa area which does not cut it. We stopped going as we started and ended the day stressed. Pool areas Very nice. No issues. You can however see the same people reserving a bed at 7am! Seriously they had no shortage. No one to stop them and insufficient staff in any case. Location 10/10. So very central So in short. Nice hotel but major issues that need to be resolved. We go away to relax and this whole situation was wholly unacceptable

Just back from an amazingly relaxing week staying at the Oasis Lanz. From the moment my daughter and I arrived to the moment we left, we were able to totally relax in the beautiful, clean and classy surroundings. Everything felt so easy, like the hotel had thought of all our needs and provided them without us having to ask. The room was huge, clean, comfy bed, lovely big balcony with handy clothing rack for drying wet clothes, fridge, safe, TV etc. Everything worked and was in great condition. Room was made up daily, fresh towels etc and felt like new coming back after the cleaners had been in. Breakfast was superb, plenty of tables, no waiting to be seated. Very chilled vibe, lots of choices and everything I sampled was delicious from cooked breakfast to freshly made pancakes. We spent a lot of time at the pool nearest our room and loved it. Clean, perfect temperature, loads of loungers and the poolside bar for refreshments! On the odd occasion we needed something (taxi booked to airport/somewhere to leave bags after check out/ grab a shower before leaving) the staff at reception couldn't have been more helpful. Location wise it's perfect, so close to both beaches, restaurants and shops. Thanks for a great stay and hope to get back.
