Very warm welcome from the start. Excellent host, very knowledgeable about the local area and could not be more helpful with our queries. Beautiful room, with fantastic views. Spotless. Breakfast was delicious and more than enough to set us up for the day. Looking to go back as soon as possible.

My wife and I could only sadly stay for one night at High Grassings. This B&B is a great place to stay for anyone exploring the lakes. The hosts are wonderful with a great wealth of local knowledge including a good couple of restaurant recommendations and advice on things to do. (The Tarn How's walk in particular isn't something we had been aware of which we thoroughly enjoyed.)
The B&B itself is very well setup with rooms in great condition, a nice dining room for breakfast with a spectacular view. Breakfast was a lovely Full English and the hosts were great throughout. Hope to stay here again for more than a single night.

Beautiful bnb set within an easy drive from Hawkeshead. Spotless rooms, friendly hosts and a real sense of tranquility. Easy parking, super breakfast and a real feeling of countryside with a host of chickens and peacocks. Cannot find a single flaw or ossue and would go back at the drop of a hst.

Fantastic room,excellent breakfast and lovely people....stunning views,sit outside and enjoy with the beautiful company of the two peacocks. Can not fault High Grassings and look forward to returning again soon....5*

Beautiful room which had the comfiest bed, great nights sleep. Stunning panoramic views from our room and all around the area. Delicious breakfast, was nice and hot. The whole place was spotless. Lovely couple Carrie and Dave, gave lots of tips of where to go and what to do. Thank you for a wonderfully relaxing break! We will return soon.

Lovely B&B set in beautiful surroundings. The hosts where very welcoming. There was fresh fruit and wine in the room on our arrival which was a lovely gesture. The breakfast was very nice, freshly cooked and hot. The hosts where very knowledgeable with the local area and there is a printed list of local restaurants in the room. This was a very pleasant stay, very clean quiet and very relaxing. I would definitely recommend this B&B and would definitely stay there again.

We had booked this trip early in 2021, but had to cancel due to Covid. We rebooked and were rewarded with beautiful sunny weather. Our hosts were extremely welcoming and accomodating and we were stunned by the gorgeous setting and stylish, comfortable rooms, both private and common. We were delighted to find a bottle of wine and fresh fruit awaiting us in each bedroom. Breakfast was delicious and was made with locally produced ingredients. We would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

David was an exceptional host, nothing was too much trouble. The views were stunning, surroundings beautiful and the house was stunning. We loved being able to come down to the lounge and relax. The breakfast was fabulous, great sausage, bacon and egg etc, with a good choice of cereal, toast and drinks. I would highly recommend it, and will go back again.

Stayed at High Grassing’s country house along with friends and we were made to feel so welcome by the hosts. Immaculately clean, luxury rooms with gorgeous views and breakfasts to die for. Beautiful lounge to relax in with a bottle of wine kindly supplied by the hosts (who could ask for more) Hopefully will be back to stay in the summer months.
