Affordable, friendly and clean!

One of those places that nothing was just terrible but you wouldn’t go back to. Bed wasn’t good and there was lots of outside light coming in, so much we had to put blankets around the window and under the door to get it dark enough to sleep. The shower was not bad, plenty tall and adequate pressure. The “scrambled eggs” at breakfast were pre made disks. There was sausage links and wheat toast and a pancake maker. Would get you down the road but wasn’t exactly hot. Not the worst place I’ve stayed and for late check in early check out, served its purpose but I’d try somewhere else if I’m through there again.

This Hotel is very well run. This was a late book,and we were pleasantly surprised. The room and bath were clean and the bed slept alright. The staff was responsive and good breakfast with variety. Good value for the price. We would stay here again.

I am a gold member of choice hotels and often stay at Econo Lodges across the USA. This is one of the best. Sean Patel, the owner/manager, has a great way of engaging the customer and made me feel right at home. He has an eye to detail on every facet of the motel and makes sure everything is up to scratch. The bed was King and very comfortable. The room was spotless and everything worked as it should. The breakfast was eggs and sausage for a top-end protein start to the day. Would hope to come through Hays, Kansas again and stay there.

Great value. The bed was comfy. The room amenities were adequate. There’s a nice little breakfast set up with pancakes, fruit, cereal, bread/rolls, coffee, juice, etc. It felt fairly clean. Some of the fixtures and finishing touches like hardware, seemed old and reused from pre-remodel. We were only here one night. It was an excellent value and we’d definitely stay here again.

Everything was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The folks at the desk were very helpful. Breakfast was a good variety. It was in a convenient location for traveling across country, near the Interstate. There were several good restaurants nearby. I would stay here again.

This is a motel brand that we would not normally book due to a bad experience 25+ years ago. I read reviews about the places we stay to mitigate these experiences. Could not find anything in Hays Ks. in our normal price range that had good reviews, then stumbled on the Econolodge. What can I say, rooms and bath rooms are small. But man is it ever clean. Beds are super comfortable, walking distance to food. The best is the couple that own it, extremely nice people. Everything is getting a remodel they obviously believe in upkeep. Try it you will like it.

We had a dog so the room had no carpet which made it feel cleaner, but we had to bring in a blanket from the car for our old dog cuz her joints hurt. The office & hallways had no air conditioner but the room was nice & cool. Overall for the price it was a good stay. We slept well & it was a clean room.

Very very clean. Comfortable We missed breakfast, but we’re still able to get some toast & fruit. Yogurt & coffee. The staff put my freezer packs in the hotel freezer for me as my room fridge didn’t have a freezer. It was much appreciated. Would def stay there again.
