Tranquil Nest

Our recent stay at this property was a mixed experience, with some positive aspects overshadowed by significant negatives. Here's a detailed account of our visit: Arrival and Check-In: Navigating to the property using Google Maps was very easy. Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly security personnel, which gave a good first impression. However, the check-in process at reception was a bit different than we expected. Despite this, everything went smoothly, and a gentleman escorted us to our accommodation – a fully structured tent. Accommodation: The tent was advertised as a 4-star unit according to South African standards, but it didn't quite live up to that rating. Firstly, the noise and music from the neighboring unit were extremely loud, which significantly impacted our experience. On the positive side, the tent itself was clean. Facilities: When we inquired about the kitchen, bathroom, and toilet, we were informed that they were detached from the unit. The separate structure was locked with a security gate, and we were advised to keep it locked for safety. This raised a red flag, especially since our tent could not be locked and was made of material. The manager mentioned that the security was necessary due to the large number of people present that weekend, which didn't alleviate our concerns. Noise and Privacy Issues: The noise from the neighboring unit continued to be a major issue. Despite the manager's assurances that he would speak to the noisy guests, the situation did not improve. At one point, the music was turned down, but it quickly became extremely loud again, disrupting our attempt at a peaceful retreat. The manager seemed at a loss for how to handle the situation and eventually referred us to the next property for a quieter stay. We also encountered privacy issues with the hot tub, which was visible from two different units. Although it was clean and functional, the lack of privacy was disappointing. I requested an old sheet or blanket to cover the wood fence for some form of seclusion, but the manager did not follow through on this request. Overall, our stay was less than satisfactory due to the excessive noise and lack of privacy. While the property had potential, these issues overshadowed the positives. We could have managed the detached facilities and worked around the visible hot tub if the noise levels had been controlled. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of our expectations for a restful and tranquil getaway.

We were very fooled by the photos & reviews. I honestly don't understand how it got it's rating. The biggest issue for me was the VERY LOUD & BUSY road it is next to, completely ruined the tranquil & quiet spot we were looking for. We did not sleep the whole night. The place was not very clean, out door furniture & kitchen/bathroom is below average. The beds, I could feel the springs on my back & I am 45 kg. The kitchen and bathroom are connected and need upgrading. The common area also needs upgrading. The owner was friendly & jacuzzi was nice, but not worth the money for us & won't be back.

Perfect for couples, friendly staff and cozy tent. The jacuzzi adds an extra touch. Loved it 💯💯💯💯

Best service I have ever received when travelling. both managers who were on duty during my stay I forgot their names, they were very helpful.

Friendly, helpfull staff. Clean and luxurious Tent. Unfortunately we had an emergency at our shop and had to leave earlier. But Management agree to a credit night for us, understanding our circumstances. Thank you Darren!!!

Nothing much to say besides that iv been here more than 4 times and have never been disappointed. Great service, peaceful atmosphere, way too reasonable cost wise. Kitchen has all necessary utensils. Best for friends getaway or couples getaway

I would recommend this place strongly, Due to few facts, such as near to the entrance of Kruger park in hazy view And place itself is wonderful surrounded with a lot of tree gives you feel like you in the middle of jungle.

Beautiful scenery, in the bushes and very peaceful. Enjoyed my stay even though it was a one night stay.Would definitely go back and book for 2 or 3 nights. Oh the jacuzzi is to die for, refreshing. Staff very friendly and welcoming.

My sisters and I booked a room for our parents for their wedding anniversary. I asked the staff to make the room extra special for the occasion, and they went above and beyond. The staff member sent me photos of the preparations and I was impressed with the level of service. Seeing as I hadn't stayed at the venue myself, I can only go by what my parents' experience of it was. They came back rested and relaxed and couldn't stop talking about what a wonderful time they had at Tranquil Nest. The facilities were all in excellent working order, it was peaceful and quiet, and they managed a trip to the Kruger Park as well. Thank you for the excellent service. Hopefully I will come stay there soon myself!
