After a long journey, my wife and I needed to rest and recharge. Travelodge kendal was the perfect stopover with a warm welcome, comfortable room and great breakfast.

Overwhelming smell of bleach at the reception Had to pay for car park through Ring Go app The staff on reception didn't seem to be too sure about this procedure I tried to get through to Ring Go but was taken to another site (a scam site) I had to cancel my bank card as this site was a scam company based in Cyprus - so all this happened before we got to our room and took me 35 minutes to speak to my bank then put through to the fraud department - we weren't the only ones complaining about the car park situation - please be aware of the RingGo app !!! I would not stay here again The staff are lovely but obviously need training in every department

All bed sheet have stain, then I asked to give me a king sheet to cover dirty duvet, I put top up card but when I came back to hotel I notice they didn’t bother themself to change the towels in bathroom and the didn’t make bed sheet and they didn’t empty the bin that reason I go reception and asked for bin bag to do myself.

A warm welcome from our receptionist...sorry didn't catch her name. We got confused with the parking system and she kindly sorted that out for us. £3 overnight parking validated at the check on desk. Lots of parking available. The room was very clean and beds comfy with soft pillows with spares if you need them. Loveley shower and also bath in the room. Tea and coffee, kettle and spares availiable in he reception for extra brews. There isn't a bar or restaurant. Breakfast boxes are available to take away. Kendal town 5 mins drive away. Can't fault it one bit.

Charging for Car Parking (Non Town Centre !!!) is a complete disgrace. Out in ther country and yet they charge their customers to park outside the hotel - there's nothing else around so it is simply profiteering from the custoimers

Not bad, rooms very clean. Bit noisy with people coming through reception in the early hours…but it was bank holiday

Nothing to dislike. Older building but clean, had everything needed for a non luxury stay. Good location, very busy road, but couldn’t be heard when windows closed. Airy and windows open! No lift. Garage next door with basic stocks. Kendal a short distance away. Room facilities clean and bed comfortable. Staff really welcoming and pleasant, yet professional.

Good: was easy to find, clean, basic, helpful staff Bad: The sprung fire door closers start banging at 5am, if you are leaving then, no bother. If not, expect a short night’s sleep. Bad: car parking is a faff if you're tired. It’s £3 for a night.

Please think again if considering booking a room at this hotel. While the staff are genuinely polite and understanding the hotel itself is no longer fit for purpose. The corridors smell badly of damp and this is only amplified when entering the rooms. The high levels of mould, ingrained grime, wear and tear, and unsafe fixtures and fittings meant we were forced to immediately check back out and find alternate accommodation. Travelodge should be ashamed of letting their team members have to represent and work here - a tired, dirty hotel in very dire need of a complete upgrade.
