ITH Los Angeles Beach Hostel

Fabulous location and some really friendly staff (some in particular much more than others). Loved having a private room with ensuite - it was very clean and a great view of the beach and ocean. Because it's just a room in a large house, it can be quite noisy depending on who the other guests are - just luck of the draw. Would definitely recommend for the location. Make sure to check with the team first before making payment if you want to use a different card to make payment other than what you used to guarantee when booking.

The location is very good, right in from of the beach and near a lot of restaurants bars etc. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Everything is super clean. The breakfast is simple but ok. The only bad part is the noise, because it's in a place with a lot of bars with music until 3am in some days of the weeks. But if you don't mind sleeping really late... ahahaha. I totally recomend ITH, would stay there again for sure.

I love this place..close to everything and more. Clean and very friendly staff…and a competitive price consider all the places around the area next to the beach. Love how the place looks at night and a very safe and secure hotel. Make a book without a doubt

Location was perfect. At the beach, in middle of bars and restaurants. Lively, lovely, beach live, we loved it! We even consider living there! Walking the pier/beach, live music in bars and a value for money hostel, whatever do you need in CA?

Hermosa beach is one of the better place in LA, it feels more safer than most districts. The people are really friendly here and the beach is beautiful. When I suddenly had to extend my stay it was absolutely no problem. I even ran into some personal problems and the staff were kind to help me in need. Not only did I neet incredible people but I also made some friends. Would definitely recommend!

I came to Hermosa Beach to find my son in Redondo Beach, who I hadn't heard from in over four years. I am from NC and I wanted to not spend a ton of money. I'm also 59 and had never stayed at a hostel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I stayed in a 6 bunk room for 5 nights. Everything functioned fine. I had respectful and friendly roommates. The location can't be beat as far as proximity to the ocean. Over a weekend especially, you have to be Ok with the loud music coming from the businesses below but I was prepared for that and it didn't significantly bother me. I did find my son and met the most adorable 10 month old granddaughter that I didn't know I had!

This hostel is perfect for solo travelers who likes to meet new peoples from across the world. It's not the prettiest hostel, but it is clean, safe and the staff is friendly. The shared spaces makes it easy to meet new people. The also organized activities everyday with one of the staff member. The only negative points would be that it's on the top of a bar that play music up to 2 AM. If you don't fall asleep easily it may not be a good place for you.

amazing location, ocean view through most every window. you can't beat it for the price. typically very mellow crowd, i've stayed several times. yeah the bar below is loud, bring ear plugs if you can't handle it. amazing hostel!

I stayed in the female-only dorm for a week while in Hermosa doing some vball training and the hostel was perfect for my needs. Unbeatable location right on the pier with quick access to restaurants and nightlife, as well as groceries and shopping. The noise from the bars and clubs below definitely carries, especially on Saturday night, but I slept totally fine with earplugs and an eye mask. I did not participate in any of the group activities, but they seemed to be varied and well organized. Great way to connect with other guests! Don't expect 5 star hotel clean, but for a busy hostel on the beach I was impressed with how clean it was. Bathrooms have been recently renovated and are cleaned daily. Although the kitchen is small, it was organized and well maintained by staff as well as other guests. Free breakfast is available every day for you to cook yourself pancakes, eggs, and toast. Overall, a great experience staying here and would recommend to anyone looking to affordable no-frills accommodations.
