Very good, much better than I imagined

I picked this hotel on a whim based on reviews. It cost about $20 more than comparables, and I'm glad I chose this place! Staff was super helpful and got me a room that met my goals. The location is really convenient, and surprisingly quiet (and I'm funny about this). I paid $10 extra to get the suite instead of the studio, which gives you a door between the living area and sleeping/bathroom - really nice. When I have the fan running on the Heat/Air, I can't hear anything, and I slept very well. The deco is pleasant and bright, things are clean. I was surprised that this has a full studio kitchen (minus an oven), but super handy. The hot breakfast options were very good (hot eggs, bacon, waffles, biscuits/gravy) plus cold assortments. I enjoyed my night so much I stayed an extra night - and surprise, the hot breakfast was different, and equally good (two different egg souflets, chorizo/potato burritos, waffles). . They have a firepit that's quite popular (claim your seats early), and with the right room you can catch a nice view of the sunset behind a vast wall of mountains on the horizon.

I chose this hotel for its large rooms and kitchen. They have nice amenities, but there is no upkeep in this place. This place is not clean. I was there over 10 days. The staircases had the same dirt there. I mentioned a couple of times that the pool had to be cleaned, but was ignored. Basic maintenance. Nobody cleaned the pool from all the flies and other bugs that accumulate daily at a pool. And there were many, not just one or two. My son had to clean the pool daily himself with the net that was there. So lazy and disgusting! Almost every day we had to ask for pool towels, b/c there were never fresh ones provided in the pool area. How does a hotel not provide the simple basics? I think it is disgusting for everyone to leave their garbage outside their rooms for everyone to see. (They are not providing maid service now inside the rooms. ) At least leave black bags, so everybody doesn’t have to see everyone else’s trash. Breakfast is ok, but bagged and repetitive. And you can only pick up weekdays until 8:30! Come on, most breakfast is served until 9:30. Another thing they are being lazy about. The worst incident was that I was walking the hallway and I saw poop on the floor. I thought at first I imagined it, but sure enough I walked back a little later and there it was. I have never experienced this at any of the hotels I’ve been to in my life. (This hotel allows pets) I am very disappointed. A hotel’s job is to provide service.

Unbelievably bad service by Taylor, Front Desk Manager/Supervisor. When we came back to our room at the end of the night there were issues immediately. There was a missing lightbulb in one of the light fixtures, only one TINY trash can in the entire room, and the video cable for the TV was nonexistent. Along with the room just feeling like it was in disrepair, and had not received a deep cleaning in some time. These maintenance issues were remedied. The manager on duty at the time, a gentleman, was very accommodating and kind. As was the gentleman that came to the room, this would have been the night of April 21, 2022. Around 10PM when the complaint was placed. We did our best to enjoy our stay in the TINY overpriced and frankly not entirely clean room the best we could. The day before checkout another kind manager gave us a late checkout for the next day. I wish I had remembered his name, though I did not know I would be writing this review until the night of 5/12/2022, this evening. We noticed what turned out to be an improperly placed smoking charge on our card. We called to discuss our dispute with the manager on duty at the hotel. This evening, 5/12/2022, at approximately 7 PM. Taylor answered the phone. She was the manager on duty. She explained that the charge was for smoking in the room and that there was some sort of evidence in the room. I made it clear my wife and I don’t even smoke and asked for said evidence. Taylor immediately became argumentative and told me that “you can take that up with your credit card company”. I explained that I had worked in the hotel industry (I was a manager for a hotel company in San Diego some years ago) and that it is blatantly clear when someone had smoked in a room and that they must have gotten the room wrong she repeated that I would “have to take it up with them” and then she HUNG UP THE PHONE. She hung up on us. I called back, asked for her manager, she indicated that she was the manager and I tried to continue the conversation, asking why she had hung up on me. She said “because I was stating a fact and there is no dispute”. I explained that it is indeed a dispute, over the opinion of the hotel being I smoked in a room I hadn’t smoked in. SHE HUNG UP AGAIN. I called back, asking for the name of her General Manager. She said his abbreviated first name, and told me to talk to him in the morning and HUNG UP ON ME AGAIN. I decided it might be nice to have his full name, given the fact that the issue had now become about her service, and not the fee, and that I wanted to make sure I talked to the right person. I called back, just asking for his last name, she HUNG UP on me again, I called back a final time, again asking for her managers name, and she again hung up on me. I called the neighboring property and obtained the General Managers full name. I placed a call with corporate customer support and opened a case regarding Taylor’s service. This is one of my favourite stays! Super large room, great location to shops/eateries/highways etc. Amenities were good (and got better whilst we there as the gym acquired new weights and equipment which was awesome!) Breakfast was awesome. Service was great! Thanks team at Hyatt Place!

I stayed at the hotel yesterday evening. Customer service was great! Immediately welcomed by the evening staff Owen and another young woman. I was provided with my key and information about the hotel breakfast and to contact the front desk with any needs. The room was clean and had makeup wipes (yasss!), Dove shampoo, Pur conditioner, Dove body wash, and Dove lotion in the bathroom. I checked out early for my flight and wasn't able to have breakfast. There weren't any issues with noise and the hotel is in great condition. Would definitely recommend and visit again. I got in late so didn't have a chance to look at the full hotel though I did see a nice fitness room. There is also coffee set up in the lobby 24/7 and lots of room to sit and chat with friends/family. Lastly, they have snacks you can purchase (candy bars, soda, water, frozen meals, etc). There is a Starbucks nearby.
