Hillside Colorado Cottages Near Westcliffe

Cottages are clean, practical and quiet. This is an ideal setting to decompress, to get away from the noise of the city and what modern urban life offers these days. I enjoyed my stay here and will most likely return. I love how there is a nice kitchen area to cook food and a refrigerator to store perishables and cold drinks. I recommend cooking some meals at the cottage. It will save you money and the town of Westcliffe doesn’t offer much restaurant options. Westcliffe is about a 15 minute drive away for groceries, restaurants and attractions. I strongly recommend Hillside Colorado Cottages. It’s a hermit lover’s paradise!

So enjoyed our stay at Hillside Cottages! Their attention to detail in the delightful cottages was wonderful. The setting looking out over the Sangre de Cristo mountain range can't be beat! When the stars come out get ready for a treat in the Dark Sky's environment, have not seen stars and the Milky Way that clearly for years, thanks for a great stay!

Lovely place to stay. The unit was clean and comfortable. We were able to cook our own meals. Kitchen had everything we needed. Property was beautiful. Communication during booking was great and the check in process was easy. There was ample parking for our truck and ATV trailer.

We needed a couple of days to get away. I booked two nights in the Solitude & Sunshine cottage as it was pet friendly. There was a little confusion during the booking period as I had emailed twice asking to see if they had a veterans discount. No reply. When I received the 3 day email/text, I asked again and she said yes and applied a 10% off on our bill. Mentioning that there was a discount code. A little more communication would have been nice. We received the lock code in a text as we were pulling in. Very convenient. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay. We stayed in the middle of the week and where the only ones there. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Strong wifi. Very nice grounds with flowers everywhere. Our dog loved the outside. My only issue was not with the cottages, but it is an international dark sky location and there happened to be a super moon for the 2 nights that we stayed. So no stars for me. Make sure you bring some food, as the town is a 22 mile round trip and there is no oven, just a microwave and stovetop. All in all, this was a great place and we will probably stay here again in the future.

My wife and I were heading to Colorado for her 50th birthday celebration. We stayed in the Knack for Nature cottage. It was a very nice place. Decent size rooms, very clean and had everything one could need. The only issue was that the cable reception was not good at first, but we did troubleshooting and the issue resolved. The other thing my wife said was she didn't care for the scent of the soaps/shampoo/conditioner. I believe it was a homemade soap and was supposed to be mint with something else but to her it smelled like Vicks vaporub.

The cottages are very cute and efficient! HOWEVER, the reservation process is not very clear and confusing. The cottages are set up as self check in, similar to VRBO, but the communication for access to the cottages is not consistent. One email said the access code will be sent 3 days prior, but in actuality you get the access code the day of arrival. The owners need to be clear in their reservation communication when and how customers access their cottages This location is fairly remote so most people travel quite a ways to reach the cottages and shouldn't have to worry about when they will receive the access code. I would recommend correcting the reservation information for customers

The detail in the decor both inside the cottages as well as the ambience of the grounds is exquisite. This place is tranquil, even with a little bit of highway noise, it's such a beautifully kept area that nothing can disturb your peace. I walked barefoot for hours under the massive trees. The flowers in the gathering area are gorgeous.... all natives and perfectly placed. The landscaping and interior decor are everything you could ask for. Thank you for this oasis!!!!

Charming cottages near Westcliff Co. The unit was very clean beautifully decorated. Exterior grounds are lovely so many flowers! Great areas to sit Enjoy coffee or a book.. Or the beautiful views. Thoughtful touches throughout including fresh basil near the grill.

I wanted a quiet stay for our last night in Colorado. I felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, but we had easy access to everything we needed. The peace was heaven, the natural beauty was amazing. I absolutely recommend this place, it's wonderful.
