Popped in today on the way home from a day out the staff was so lovely helped us with everything nothing was too much for them very polite and the food was amazing we have already booked to go back and a bonus it’s only 20 mins from home and worth the travel to get there for good food and atmosphere made to feel very welcome thank you Bonus was the animals we got to see aswell my boys loved it

Having stayed many times at The Bickford Arms I can only reinforce previous reviews on how good this place is. Led by Keith all the staff make you feel at home and I do feel I am 'returning home' when I go to stay. The place is 'spotlessly clean' and the food is great. I would highly recommend this Pub / Hotel. Thank you Keith and your Team. Richard

Popped into this wonderful establishment a few days ago whilst staying at a country cottage near Bradford manor.very friendly attentive staff. The food was amazing having eaten twice here. Chicken in a basket and a really juicy well cooked burger.fluffy thick cut chips fried to perfection. A warm welcome from all the staff made our party very comfortable. Would recommend this hotel everyone if visiting the area.

Came down for a carvery at 12:30, staff were very helpful and polite. Few things that we feel could be improved is the service of the carvery, we feel it could be done with more fluidity and be ready for when the pub opens. Outside searing area needs a bit of attention but all in all it was a good experience.

we had a very nice meal and found access very easy with the wheelchair and staff were only to glad to cater for my wifes pureed diet. one of the best meals out we've had for quite a while and the car park makes access even easier and even includes electric car chargers, also a large function room for group bookings including its own bar, we found getting around was very easy with the wheelchair as all seating well spaced out for access and the chips were to die for, all staff were very welcoming and being all set out on one level for the bar and eating area makes it very handy for wheelchair users

We thoroughly enjoyed our six night stay, the staff are friendly, polite and efficient, nothing was too much trouble for them. We found the atmosphere was friendly and relaxing, local people also dined at the Hotel and dogs are welcome too. There is a good choice of evening meals and homemade deserts, also a Sunday Carvery and sometimes roast dinners on Sunday evening which we chose to have and were very pleased with our choice. The owners were present throughout our stay and were most welcoming and friendly. The meals were brilliant, we chose to eat in at the Hotel each evening as we enjoyed our meals so much. We were shown to our room by a member of staff when we arrived. The room was nicely decorated, bright, clean, had everything that we needed for our stay, the ensuite shower room was good and was fully tiled, there we extra shower gel, shampoo and conditioner if we required. There was also facility to make hot drinks including hot chocolate. Breakfast was excellent and was cooked just how we liked it, we could help ourselves to cereals, fruit juice, fruit, toast and hot drinks. We felt relaxed and at home during our stay and would definitely stay there again.

Top notch Sunday carvery at the Bickford Arms everything just right. First time I have eaten there and it won’t be the last! best to book it’s quite busy. I just rocked up at 12.30 and they managed to find me a seat, next time I will ring up first. Sat out in the garden and if it was not for the blonde woman boasting at the top of her voice I would have stayed longer. But still give it 9 out of 10.

My wife rang to see if we could book a table for six people this evening. She told them she was hoping to book for 6pm to which the guy on the phone replied, could you make it after 6pm. This wasn't an issue and so my wife said, no problem what time after six, to which the man said well like I've told you, after 6pm. She then asked if they had any gluten free options on their menu, the man stated he didn't know so he called out to another member of staff. When he called out asking if they offered anything that was gluten free the person in the background said "yeah, we do... F**k all" The man then said to him, no seriously... Do we have anything that's gluten free and the same guy shouts out probably, just tell them to come down after 7pm. My wife heard this and said 7pm was going to be too late so we would leave it to which the man then says rudely, just wait! We put the phone down in the end. Having since looked at some of the reviews left online and the sarcastic replies from the owner, I'm surprised they even get any business.

Having eaten here before we were thoroughly disappointed with what we got this time round. We waited 45 minutes for food and when served was not worth wait time. The lasagne was plain minced beef sandwiched between over cooked pasta and a bland 'cheese sauce'. The mixed grill had been griddled so much, all you could smell was chargilled meat! The chips were the only appealing item on both plates. We did not hang around to look at the dessert menu! To add to the ambiance of the evening we sat and listened to a group of loud, foul mouthed girls for the duration of our meal. However hats off to the barmaid who appeared to be doing everything apart from cooking by herself, including cleaning the tables with the most fragranced antibacterial spray which only added to the experience.
