Welcome to the Lighthouse Retreat, located in historic and quaint Algoma, the doorway to Door County. It features one of the most magnificent views of Lake Michigan and the historic Algoma Lighthouse. Enjoy the views while relaxing on the patio in the rear of the property. You’ll find spacious and comfortable sleeping for 10 people with an additional two rollaway beds, that would accommodate 12 people. This newly constructed house includes four bedrooms, two bathrooms, plus a comfortable living and dining room with a gas-burning fireplace adjoining the kitchen in an open concept design. There are large flat screen TVs in every room. This is a newly constructed house, so everything in it is brand new. There is a washer and dryer available for your convenience, nestled in the laundry room. You will enjoy direct proximity to Lake Michigan, and the picturesque views of the lighthouse and all of the boats traveling in the harbor. When the Great Lakes cruise ship stops in Algoma twice a month, it parks directly in front of the house. The house is located adjacent to the marina which is about a five-minute walk to all the classic Door County shops, dining, and recreation. You will also want to visit the beautiful beachside marina and beach. You’ll delight in the discovery of the wineries and breweries, and the variety of dining options in Algoma. There’s a delicious bakery that is a two-minute walk from the house. Partake of the spacious patio, which is covered for your comfort, and can also be opened to the welcoming breezes and breathtaking view. Relax and enjoy the fire pit nestled alongside with an outdoor kitchen under a canopy top with a gas barbeque grill, as well as a flat top grill and stainless-steel sink for clean-ups and food preparation. Bluetooth speakers are installed in the house and on the patio that will pair with your phone or electronic devices. Relax on the cozy sectional furniture on the patio underneath the canopy with a spacious outdoor dining table. There are curtains to enclose yourselves in the canopy. There is also mosquito netting, to keep the bugs out! If you’re lucky, with the right timing, you will experience seeing the giant bald eagle that flies nearby and inhabits the tree on the north end of the property while it scouts the lake for fish. Enjoy a peaceful stay at our adorable 1-bedroom second story duplex in Algoma. The cozy bedroom features two comfortable queen beds, perfect for a good night's sleep. The bathroom offers a refreshing spacious shower and the kitchen is well stocked for all your cooking needs. Your stay comes with a dedicated boat slip and dock access to enjoy the amazing sport fishing Algoma is famous for. Instant access to the river and only two bridges to the lake. Enjoy Algoma’s Ahnapee Trail, Crescent Beach, premier wineries, brewery, and unique restaurants from your cozy home base. Your Door County adventures are just minutes away. We hope you enjoy what our place and Algoma has to offer.Notes:The property has two seperate duplexes with seperate climate controls. Each unit has its own private bathroom and kitchen. They share the grounds, garage, basement, and laundry. Due to varying lengths of stays at this property, we do not routinely stock disposable items such as soaps, detergents, cleaning chemicals, trash bags, coffee, coffee filters, spices, cooking oil, aluminum foil, charcoal, propane, firewood, or paper products. The house is furnished with linens, towels, and a fully stocked kitchen. Our cleaners provide a “Welcome Package” that includes a selection of disposable items for your initial arrival and may vary per stay. Additional supplies can be purchased at local stores like Denny’s SuperValu or Family Dollar. The Sturgeon Bay Walmart Supercenter will deliver to the house.The unit has one off-street parking (the right side of the driveway in front of the garage). Park your boat or trailer here. Please do not block the left side. During the summer season, there is plenty of vehicle parking across the street on the road. Parking in front of the house is not permitted (it is a turning zone). From April 1 thru October 31, there is no parking of vehicles on lawns. Additionally, you can not park any type of trailer (including boat trailers) or motor homes for more than 48 hours on city streets. Trailer parking is available at Algoma Marina. Please do not clean your fish inside the house. A cleaning station has been provided and is located right off the docks. It has running water and a drain. Please dispose of waste appropriately. Please follow Wisconsin DNR recommendations for responsible fish disposal. Fish waste, including guts, can be recycled at Algoma Marina. Dumping of fish waste in the river is a finable offense.Due to the unpredictability of the river, children should not be left unsupervised outdoors. Life jackets should be worn at all times. Docks/slips can be unsteady, please enjoy them responsibly and safely. The shoreline is protected by riprap. For your safety, please do not climb on the rocks.The property requires a stairway to enter and exit.This unit has a dock/slip reserved for your stay: Middle Dock, Slip #4 (see photo). Please bring your own mooring equipment and secure your vessel properly. By making a reservation you are confirming you have read, understood, and accept the rules, regulations, and policies detailed in this Hold Harmless Agreement: As part of the consideration for my use and enjoyment of the boat slip, I agree to hold The River House, WHHI LLC, Its Officers, Directors and Members, harmless against any loss or damage, claim or cause of action, arising out of or in any way related to my use and enjoyment of the boat slip. Reel Paradise is a home located across from Crescent Beach, which is the longest beach one of the most beautiful beaches in the City of Algoma. The pier can be seen from almost every window of the house. This location is also great because it is 15 minutes from Door County and Kewaunee and 30 minutes from Green Bay.On the main floor, there are 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a kitchen.
