Enjoy the spacious backyard patio where you will find a tiki bar, grill, picnic table in large campfire pit. When the sun is shining, our private neighborhood beach (just a short 5 minute walk) is perfect for a day on the water. Don't forget to catch a Caseville sunset on the beach. Truly beautiful! Spectacular views with more than 150 ft of unobstructed beach shoreline on private 5 acres, make for a great family reunion destination. There are two primary suites, one on the main floor and ADA compliant, and the second upstairs with a wall of windows overlooking gorgeous Lake Huron and features a spa-like primary bath. The other three bedrooms have a king, a queen, and the final room provides great flexibility with 2 full size beds and a pair of twin trundles with plenty of room for games and play. The open floor plan allows for plenty of room to dine and entertain all of your family and friends. You will enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, modern and comfortable furniture designed for everyone, and stunning lake views throughout the home. Outside, the patio offers a great space for entertaining and is the best spot for a coffee at sunrise. The large yard allows for an entertainment tent and all of the games kids can play. The private lagoon offers easy access for kayaking and paddle boarding. Here, you are just minutes away from the Harbor Beach Marina and Lighthouse and a short drive to so many charming towns and festivals around the Thumb Coast. With a charming living room equipped with two fold out futons ,there's plenty of space for guests to relax and unwind. Nestled in a serene setting, this cabin is the ideal escape for nature lovers. Enjoy all that Port Hope has to offer when you stay at our place. Great location as it is very close to the small towns of Caseville, Port Austin, Grindstone and Huron City. Accross the street is Lighthouse Park with Pointe aux Barques Lighthouse and museum.Nice walk to the lake with boat launch access. LighthousePark also has very nice hiking trails through the woods that are limestone covered . Pets are allowed in the park with a leash.Four person maximum and children of any age. Fire ring provided but not firewood. Neighbor does sell or bring your own. Newer propane grill with gas provided and a small charcoal grill. Newer bedding and towels. All bedding is switched out after each guest. We use mattress and pillow zip up protectors. The Harbor Beach sunrise is waiting for you at the Beachy Bungalow themed cottage. The one bedroom features a comfortable full bed, perfect for a good night's sleep. With heating and AC, you'll stay comfortable no matter the weather. The bathroom offers a refreshing shower, all linens and basic necessities including blow dryer. The open concept living room/kitchenette includes a mini fridge and microwave, utensils, dinnerware, dining table and chairs to pull out when needed, a full-size sofa bed for 1-2 extra guests, smart TV with WIFI (but who wants to watch tv when you have the abundance of nature and exploring at your doorstep) Outside you'll find a grill and plenty of covered outdoor seating for the whole family. Some of our favorite outdoor family games provided and board games for those rainy/indoor kinda days!Harbor Beach has a lot to offer-You can enjoy a day on the beach a few miles down the road at Bathing Beach/Lincoln Park, grab some food at Ricks Weiner Dogs Concession stand and walk the pier. Be sure to check out the museum, ice cream shops and marina. Wagner Park, only 1/2 mile away is perfect for a walk on the trails or along the lake skipping stones and looking for beach glass. Check out a movie in our quaint theatre (open Thurs-Sun.)When you're done exploring our beautiful area, sit around the firepit gazing at the spectacular night sky and countless stars and experience the soothing sounds of Lake Huron just across the street of this awesome retreat.You really do have all you need for a relaxing getaway right here, but should you feel like exploring higher into the Thumb, Port Hope, Port Austin and Caseville are all within a 15-50 minute drive. Welcome to the Grindstone Schoolhouse LLC. This historic building was built in 1906 and fully remodeled in the 1990s into an inn with 5 private bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom (or two)! At nearly 10,000 sq ft total, the areas are very spacious and perfect for your large group to gather.The top floor Master Suite has a new King mattress, a twin bed, his and hers bathrooms, and it’s own kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven and coffee maker. The bell tower extends from the Master Suite and has a futon and a great view of the countryside.On the second floor you’ll find four large bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. Two of the rooms have two queen beds and walk-in kitchenettes with a seating area. The other two bedrooms have one queen bed each. Every room has a TV, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and coffee pot.The Main floor features an 1100 sq ft Great Room, fully equipped kitchen, and dining room/den. There is also a half bath and laundry room.
