Nothing was unique, attended a Texans football game and it was literally walking distance to the stadium. Beds were comfortable enough to get a good night rest.

Elevator old and rickity. Worried about getting stuck in it. Only on second floor so took stairs.
Room was comfortable and clean.

Was this property only temporarily opened to host NCAA football championship attendees?
It was awful. I had no hot water in the shower, no running water from my sink faucet, the towels were dirty. The air conditioning was way too loud and overdue for service. The carpet was dirty.
I could go on….but it will only cause nightmares. I won’t be back and you should either.

This hotel is clean and serves was great . Breakfast was good. The only issues I have is the low water pressure.

Hotel is very old and run down. Had pipe leaks that were causing ceiling issues in hallways. No amenities in the hotel
Whatsoever, not even bottles of water in the room. Tv was dilapidated. Only good thing was location to NRG.

Tv didn’t work. Hallways are dark. Rooms are dated. Convenient location but below average. Breakfast was poor.

We booked this location because we were going to a Texan football game, the location was great! Did not have to pay extra for parking and the walk was less than 5 minutes.
The facility is itself is average. Needs some updating but for the price, it is to be expected. Did not try breakfast but it is available. Overall I would say we were content.

The Wingate/Houston is conveniently located across the steeet from NRG Stadium. It offers free wifi and breakfast. The rooms are a bit dated and musty. The rooms are nicely priced and within walking distance to shops.

I rated this place average because it's exactly that. We stayed here because we went to a football game at NRG stadium and for that, it was perfect. Easy walking distance and parking is included on site. The place is older but it was clean and inexpensive. Kind of a sketchy neighbor hood though as one of the guests truck was broken into while we were at the game. Security does not patrol the parking lot apparently and I do not know how common a problem this is at this particular place.
