Yujian Weichi Hostel (Huangshan Scenic Area)

Great hosts, they were very helpful to meet all our needs like transportation, breakfast preferences etc. Location is in a quiet neighborhood away from the noisy road. It takes 15 min by car to get to the South Gate of the Yellow mountain park. Bathtub in winter was a game changer during our stay. Definitely recommend this place.

We had a wonderful stay here. The host is very welcoming and incredibly helpful. She took the time to sit with us and help us make a plan for our stay and the best ways to visit certain places. It's a little further from the bottom of the mountain than other hotels but it's made up for in the more homely and personal feel that you can't get in the big hotels in Tangkou. They helped us organise cars to where we wanted to go and gave us a free lift to the base of the mountain where we could take the mountain bus to the cable car station. The food is Chinese cuisine but we had lunch and dinner here on occasion and both were delicious. Highly recommended. The only downside was that some of the other guests there at the same time were quite noisy. Slamming doors and running up and down the wooden stairs. It was quite disturbing in the evening when we wanted to rest early after a long day sightseeing.

The hostel is located at the base of Huangshan, if you go there by car, it’s very convenient. The owner is extremely helpful, kind and nice, she is also a really good cook (Chinese food). The room was nice, clean and cozy. The communication was mostly in Chinese; if you don’t have basic Mandarin, you can talk to them through WeChat. I would stay there again.

Excellent experience! The hotel located in a very nice area, very close to the waterfalls. Perfect if you want to spend a day at the foot of the mountain in a quite place. Even though it’s a bit far from the entrance to the park, our host took us there absolutely free of charge. The place is way nicer than the ones close to the park. The rooms were nice and clean and they have bathtubs. The whole place is cozy and feels like home. My special thanks to the hosts. They are amazing. They helped us with absolutely everything from transfer to the train station to which tracks to take in the mountain. A very foreign friendly place which is very important during the pandemic and especially in Anhui province. We will definitely go back again,

Basic homestay with basic needs. Close to a lovely waterfall park. Not much at all in the area. Maybe 4 restaurants down the road that all have same food .

Highly recommend this hostel. The interior is lovely and the room was very clean. The location is great and a 5 minute walk to beautiful waterfalls. The owner provides great hospitality providing us with breakfast and dinner and helps to organize trips as well as providing transport to and from the huangshan mountain.

Perfect stay!

This was one of the nicest holidays we have had. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, so much care and attention. I can’t actually think of better hosts! They were absolutely wonderful and I was sad when we left them! Despite our low level of Chinese, they were extremely helpful and helped us access all of the local tourism such as hiking on Huangshan Mountain, river rafting and visiting the ancient village north f Honcun. The room was delightful, we had a loft room that was a great size with a very comfortable bed. The window seating was lovely with a gorgeous view. The bathroom was very clean and well stocked. We were given plenty of water whenever we asked. The restaurant food was delicious and very reasonable. The owners were very flexible and allowed us to order what we wanted, when we wanted. The location is brilliant, it’s peaceful but still close to all of the tourist attractions. We would 100% stay here again and we are recommending it to all of our friends. Thank you for looking after us so well.

Wonderful hotel! Clean and spacious rooms in the renovated building. Hosts are extremely helpful and patient, even despite a language barrier. They organized everything for us: food, transfer to the Park Gate, even showed us some places nearby. Located in a small village around 10 minutes by car from the Park Entrance.
