Hotel Sveitsi

Our room was roomy, bright and fresh, beds firm, but not too stiff, attractive view from the window. Staff warm and friendly. Excellent Italian cuisine-oriented Vino&Pino restaurant, each course delightful to both the tongue and eye. The breakfast buffet was astounding for both the quality and the variety of foods of all kinds: fresh breads, fresh fruits, sausages, cold cuts, fish, eggs, etc.

Nice renovated hotel next to the Sveitsi park and Hyvinkää swimming hall. Good service, several restaurants, lots of parking places, and even a movie theater in the premises. Located conveniently about one kilometer from the city centre.

Perfect place, helpful staff, multiple choices, pets allowed, the restaurant and wine bar are both perfect, plus nice cocktails. Includes cinema, pools, hair salon, kids area. Very interesting place, in conclusion, excellent experience!

The location is good and the personnel all in all is friendly and helpful, but customer service when booking (e-mail or phone) is a little awkward. RIP-OFF: room rates are unreasonably high, at least for the standard rooms. The standard rooms often have view into a dark and smelly indoor playground and have a huge ugly beanbag in it that takes half the room and can't be used for anything. Interior in those rooms needs an update (only the modern rooms shown on website). When booking at time of a happening nearby, the rates go up to more than double (for a standard that does not even justify the normal prices).

Really nice place for small getaway trip, lot of things to do and location is really interesting and fresh alternative to small city hotels. Rooms are not that special, but OK, clean and everything works. Breakfast was little bit disappointing, feels like typical chain restaurant, and I'd expect more original ideas from this kind of hotel which could do much more. I'd recommend to try Karhunpesä -restaurant & Bar and WayOut escape room game!

I can’t rate the staff highly enough. When there was a misunderstanding/problem, it was dealt with immediately and professionally. I would complain but it would give the wrong picture of the hotel - the takeaway is that if there’s a problem they actually care. The room was really nice (we had a forest view room) - no bathtub, but nice shower and soft beds and everything was very clean. The hotel looks pretty bad from the outside but once you step inside, everything is excellent. I appreciate a genuinely clean hotel. Be aware that the indoor pool doesn’t open until the afternoon, and closes at 8:30, not 9! Staff was so kind at mealtimes even though our 7 month old crushed a boiled egg and dropped it everywhere during breakfast and we overstayed a bit - thank you. Also, breakfast was until 10am, which makes me think the hotel isn’t just trying to save money like so many that end it earlier! Front desk staff helped us with the bracelets for swimming and with an extra robe because ours got soaked. Be aware that the drinks are expensive (€8.50 for a bottle of beer) and cost the same or more as the mini bar. The beds are comfortable and cosy. Kids are welcomed really well and the dinner and breakfast buffets have bibs and plastic cutlery and plates for small children, as well as nice wooden high chairs. The pool could deal with some updating, but the hotel isn’t in charge of the pool. When we were there, the women’s sauna was shut so they opened a private sauna for everyone instead of just leaving it shut. You can buy or rent a swimsuit if you forget yours or didn’t think you wanted to swim. It was €50 for a buffet for two adults and a 4 year old (7 month old ate free - no baby food but we just cut up some food). Breakfast buffet: They could do with adding a second waffle iron so the queue to make waffles is shorter, but the waffle iron is obviously a hit with kids. The salami sandwich meat tasted a bit cheap. Croissants were really nice and there was marmalade, brie, granola, etc - all lovely. The porridge was very salty (and I like salty porridge!) and the scrambled eggs were very poor, and the cucumber was not Finnish and probably from Spain because it was quite bitter. The cucumbers and cherry tomatoes were very fresh. Great selection of bread. Nice juice and coffee, and Clipper English Breakfast tea for any Brits out there hoping for a break from the ubiquitous Lipton Yellow Label! Nice to see good tea you can brew yourself. It would be nice for them to invest in a latte machine and not only offer drip coffee - many cheaper hotels offer this, and it would make a difference. During breakfast, the vanilla ice cream ran out from the waffle area, and at the dinner buffet the cake ran out: this is why I knocked off a star, just for food running out. If you have small children who saw the cake or only like vanilla ice cream, this can cause a bit of anxiety so I recommend coming to eat earlier rather than later. The dinner buffet had gorgeo

Excellent, cozy hotel in the middle of the woods with great services and activities around. Highly recommended. Friendly and welcoming staff, great food at breakfast area and the high-quality restaurant. Executive rooms were superb with great beds and furniture.

They changed the room to a smaller one without notice. There was no compensation. We were traveling with a small child so this especially inconvenient. Not good, vexing to the extreme.

We had a team meeting with colleagues in Sveitsi and in my opinion it is an excellent place for business purposes. The building itself is old but thoroughly renovated, rooms and clean and nice, it is close to Hyvinkää city center and motorway. Surrounding nature is typical Finnish, beautiful and peaceful. Also food was good and staff friendly, which I think is the most important.
