Tahquitz Pines Retreat

What a special place this is, hidden away in the mountain and surrounded by nature. Super cosy rooms would definitely recommend to couples and families. The drive to it was lovely aswell.

It was a nigh**are. Door would not open when I arrived. Rather than giving me a different room, forced to wait 30 minutes for maintenance to open room. When leaving early in the morning a car was blocking the only exit. Had to wait for tow truck to remove car. Lights were on all night and room was not dark because of the outside lights.

It was just for a night, but the place was very clean and the area looked great. I enjoy my staid.

Beautiful rooms very very clean , really nice hygiene products (I never had to get my own out) beds are so nice pillows are amazing , mini fridge and microwave in room , heater was wonderful and quiet , this is every thing you need when your either here for a date weekend or here for a fun filled weekend with the kids , I love that my boys had their own little room with bunk beds! And the check in staff was so sweet love her!!

I loved staying here,it is so beautiful! The play room was the best place to be under this rainy weather! The gym is a bit encroached but it has everything you would like to train! The one thing that I would love to see in my room next time is a little table with chairs! I mean, if you provide a microwave and a refrigerator, it would be good having a place to sit and eat other than the bed. We would come again!

The room we had was very cozy with super comfy beds and pillows. HVAC controls were easy and the system was rsponsive. Only negatives, shower did not get as hot as the sink would, the faucet in the sink is too short (hands hit the front to.use it) and no chair to.sit in. Wonderful location with beautiful hiking and nice amenities in their rec room. It was too cold for the pool, but it looked nice!

This is such a wonderful find in the mountains of Idyllwild. This is a newer property and it’s really off to a great start. The cabins, grounds are marvelous and the real win here is the staff. They were exceptionally welcoming when we arrived and made sure that we had all that we needed. As we showed up an hour after the normal check in, they were in the process of making sure that we were okay and still on the way, knowing that the roads were wet and icy. That is a little thing that really makes you feel welcome. As for the property itself, it’s remarkably clean and well mapped out. The paths are wide enough for cars to navigate with people and dogs walking around. Each area is well light but not obtrusive. You feel safe and the grading of the roads is easy even given the altitude differences from entry to the Tranquility area. The grounds were certainly planned out to allow for peace and quiet while still being part of the whole. We stayed in a King Cabin and this is wonderful for a couple to a family of 5. There’s a King with a Queen sofa bed. The high ceilings of the help circulate air quickly. Having the back patio is great as you can see and hear the creek below and are removed from neighbors’ eye lines. There are things that can be improved: the entry way should have a mat inside to dry your shoes to not track moisture inside, there could be a cover placed above the slotted wood above the door in the front, the bathroom sink seems high and

It was a great pleasure to stay in Tahquitz Pine Retreat! The staff was very helpful and we loved the place. It has all the amenities to spend time with friends and family. I would love to visit in summer time.

The staff was very friendly and gave great recommendations for our stay. We will definitely be staying here again.
