Lieu Dieu, Domaine de Campagne

Such an idyllic and beautiful place surrounded by stunning lakes and lush forests. It was truly a beautiful one night stay that I wish could’ve lasted longer. We will surely be back for a longer stay as there was so much that myself and my son (8) wanted to do like paddle boarding, pedal boats and horse riding too! My only negative was being surprised with a €300 deposit which was not mentioned on the website I booked through (**********). The pod which we stayed in required a bit of maintenance, for example there was a curtain that wouldn’t close because of a missing rope to hold it in place and also the ladder screws on one side were very loose and not too safe and it didn’t feel the cleanest as I did need to sweep the floor myself upon arrival. The last comment would be to offer a fan in the pod as in the hot weather it was quite uncomfortable and being above the river I didn’t want to have the window open all night due to mosquitoes. Despite this we will definitely be coming back to visit again one day and hopefully bringing more family as it’s such a great place, thank you!

This is a great and tranquil place. It's a Mecca if you'd like to learn, improve, practise or simply enjoy horse riding. It is also in close proximity to Eu and other places to enjoy. Do book horse riding activities ahead though, don't just turn up. Accommodation (we had cabin by/on the water) is good, clean and has all the necessary items. Breakfast (€10pp) is just baget and croissants, so perhaps could be a bit more. Overall we enjoyed our stay there, enjoying the nature and the lake. But unless going specifically for equestrian, will choose something different next time.

We booked this for my 2 year old daughter to have some experience with horses at the end of our holiday. We specifically booked this because it advised they are English speaking. The staff here while friendly do not speak English we had to use google translate on the computer in reception. We also had the lessons we booked for my daughter cancelled on 2 hours notice. At the stables we were told it was ‘too hot’ while we stood and watched several French groups head out on horses. We were later told it was due to all instructors being with other classes. We did requested something else to do with the daughter, even just rent a pedalo for the afternoon but was told no. The experience really put a downer on the end of our holiday and left a sour taste. It was hard to watch over 30 French children play with horses and us be told we can’t and not feel like this is because we are English. Upsides are the chalet we stayed in was nice and the location is beautiful.

Alarm beeping all night, passive aggressive elderly lady at the desk, two forks for three, I had to make the beds and was told that it was to save on the costs with the cleaners when wondered about it, teen caps yelling all evening a meter from our «  peaceful quiet lodging », the place has a potential but unfortunately the experience was ghastly. The only peaceful place could possibly be the floating house’s far from the riding spot. Very unpleasant experience.

Très joli domaine et endroit très calme et reposant. Nous avons passé une nuit dans une goutte d'eau. Lieu très atypique. Belle expérience.

Second stage équestre au Lieu Dieu pour ma fille, elle a adoré et ne souhaite qu'une chose, y retourner l'année prochaine. Le stage propose des activités variées : horse ball, dressage, saut, .... ainsi que des activités autour du monde de l'équitation afin de s'améliorer à cheval tout en s'amusant. Je recommande donc à 200%.

C'est un endroit au cœur de la nature. Nous avons trouvé ce que nous cherchions du calme, du repos et surtout des magnifiques chevaux dans une écurie active. Les lieux sont très bien entretenus et le personnel est accueillant et sympathique. Nous avons testé la yourte et la goutte d'O. Nous avons prévu d'y retourner en famille en roulotte cette fois. Nous avons visité le Tréport, le parc du Marquenterre, Saint Valérie sur Somme, la ville d'Ault... Belle expérience je recommande vivement.

J'ai adoré ce lieu insolite goûte d o l'endroit est calme et reposant Le personnel agréable et super gentil. Je recommande ce lieu 1000 fois !

Malheureusement mauvais expérience à cause du gîte mitoyen qui a cru pouvoir mettre le son comme dans une boîte de nuit sans se soucier des voisins (nous dormions dans la chambre qui se situait au-dessus de la salle de réception du gîte mitoyen = nuit blanche assurée) ! Si vous choisissez le gîte de l'abbaye, assurez-vous qu'il n'y a pas une fête de prévue dans le gîte mitoyen. Et n'hésitez pas à appeler le numéro d'astreinte pour une intervention même en pleine nuit (chose que nous n'avons pas osé faire pour ne pas déranger car on respecte le sommeil des gens) mais le lendemain on nous a répondu "nous sommes payés pour être d'astreinte donc appelez-nous). Ces voisins irrespectueux ont même fait venir un food truck la 2ème nuit sans prévenir le gîte !!!! Bref très mauvaise expérience mais le lieu est très beau. Il manque juste un peu de confort sur la partie salon car aucun coussin pour s'asseoir ni canapé.
