Lotus Beach Hotel - Adults Only

Traveled to Isla Mujeres with a friend for a mellow, serene week in the sun. That’s not exactly what I found. Instead, I found myself at a lovely, upbeat, small resort staffed by the most helpful, friendly and dedicated people I have met anywhere. The Lotus is directly next to the Guru Beach Club which offers lounges, food, drink , infinity pool , & Playa Norte,a beautiful white sand, turquoise water beach filled with young, fun loving couples, singles & families. The rooms at Lotus are spacious and comfortable,especially the beds. The included continental breakfast of fruit, yogurt, granola and toast was more than ample and served indoors or outside overlooking the beach. Music is always pervasive, and ( much to my chagrin,) a DJ playing VERY loud music was there on the weekend. (A peaceful , superb yoga studio across the road was my saving grace). The fact that almost everyone at Lotus Beach and Playa Norte was probably 3-4 decades younger definately explains things. Nevertheless I had a wonderful time and highly recommend this hotel. Kudos to Alexander, Ulysses, Donna and everyone at Guru BC - an outstanding group ( & not bad for the eyes either 😁)

Had a great stay at the Lotus. Alexander, the manager, reached out to me before going to the hotel to ensure he had all our information. Checked in and our room was ready and it was absolutely beautiful. We had ocean front and we had our windows open all night listening to the ocean. Perfection. My friend and I spent all our days by the pool and beach. Service was great. Continental breakfast is included which is a fruit plate,orange juice, coffee, white toast, yogurt, and granola -- a lot of food! But they have a full menu if you want to get eggs -- which I did - my poached eggs were perfect every morning. At the pool we had Juan taking care of us. He was very attentive. Great ceviches, sandwiches, excellent french fries! And the drinks always great. Couldn't have asked for a better stay. Thank you to all the staff for their attention.

We stayed at Lotus Beach hotel for my wifes birthday and it was the most relaxing trip we have ever been on. The hotel is located only a quick 10 minute taxi ride from the ferry port. We stayed in the room with the plunge pool with beach front view and it was well worth the couple extra dollars. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The beach is just 3 steps down from the beach club. The staff will also serve you down at the beach. We reserved a beach lounge bed the first day we were there and the staff was so nice to reserve it for us the rest of the week without us even asking. The beach club access is included with the stay at the hotel and it was definitely a plus. There’s a free breakfast option offered every morning and it wasn’t your typical hotel breakfast, they serve you fresh fruits, fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee, yogurt and toast. Everything was delicious. They have dinner options at the beach club and many options around the hotel that are walking distance. The previous year we stayed at an all inclusive hotel in Cancun and this boutique hotel definitely topped it. It’s an amazing hotel with easy access to a beautiful beach. We will definitely be coming back when visiting Isla mujeres.

From the moment I arrived later than expected, Alexander, the General Manager, did everything possible to make my stay memorable. He was always available with suggestions, ideas, and help. The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. Sol and the rest of the restaurant/bar staff were always available and friendly. Rutilo and the other housekeeping staff were always smiling and available. I would give them all ten stars and, if possible, give Alexander 100!! I look forward to going back soon. Stayed at Lotus Hotel and had an exceptional time. This is a six room hotel. Stayed in Room #5 and it was great (most private and most quiet). We walked in and instantly felt at home. Alexander, David and the entire staff made us feel so welcome. Free water, free nespresso coffee in room. Guru Beach Club is attached and we loved their drinks, staff, and food. They had the best ceviche out of our 4-5 places we tried it!

Beautiful place, the beach is amazing, the food Omg the fish tacos delicious, goru margarita passion fruit, all the staff very kind and attentive “ Fernando, Laura, Camila,Juan, Ivan all of them, thank you I appreciate that you guys made me feel very welcome!” See you for my birthday!

I cannot imagine staying anywhere else on Isla. My wife and I wanted to play it cool, be right on the beach, get pampered, but also be under the radar a bit and chill. Lotus for the win! There are only 6 rooms. And our room with the plunge pool had a crazy good view of the beach. The hotel is located on the nicest spot on the beach - not as busy and the water is calmer. The water is turquoise and crystal clear. We could have been in the Virgin Islands - that clear. The staff here is everything. I can try to describe how friendly and helpful they were but you will have to experience it yourself to really understand. David. Before we even got there, David was texting us with information, answering questions, arranging for our transportation from the airport - he really did set the tone. I credit him with really getting our trip off to a great start. He's a real pro and kind as the day is long. When we got there we were greeted by Kelly who was also warm and welcoming, always ready to give us tips on where to go. And then Alexander - we liked him so much we would travel the world with him - you will want him as your friend for sure. He's the manager and he does everything to make sure you have a wonderful experience. The cleaning staff kept out room super clean and fresh. There's a bar/restaurant - yep! Also a pool. This is all right on the beach, raised up a bit but right there in the thick of things. This might be the nicest property on the island really. So the food was delicious as were the drinks. The serving guys (they are more than that) were really cool, articulate, young people - some from Argentina originally. They are all very genuine and accommodating, making sure all your needs are met. The views, the beach, the quality of the water and sand - the room you can't believe you got - all of it added up to the ideal visit. We did try an Airbnb house for the second part of our trip, to make room for friends, and honestly we wish we never left the hotel - the southern side of the island is fine, but there's nothing better on the island than the Lotus spot.. and you won't need to rent a golf cart - walk to everything and just spend your time on the beach. Get a couple massages and play it chill. Thank you Lotus Hotel!

We decided to book Lotus Beach for our honeymoon. We had gotten married at Cancun resort and after our family and friends left, we took a few days to ourselves in Isla Mujeres. Lotus Hotel is quaint, vibey hotel that's located right on Playa Norte. We had a plunge pool and a view that over looked the ocean! We spent all of our days laying in the Guru Bar -- ordering their FANTASTIC drinks and delicious food. It was a lounge(y) few days. We'd love to go back, the location and the chill-ness of the resort was something I deeply appreciated!

Lotus beach hotel is a great place to stay.located on a great beach walkable to many restaurants and different beach clubs! The beach club that’s on site guru is nice. The staff at guru was on top of your drinks and food at all times! The people at the front desk are excellent! David took care of my questions and requests before arriving through texts. The girl at the front desk is also excellent! Extremely helpful in suggestions for restaurants or any other questions you have! Definitely a great time at lotus! Thanks again front desk team!!!
