The Inn @ Aird a' Bhasair

This place is out of this world the bedrooms are furnished nicely and spotless and clean . The staff are very helpful and the breakfasts are amazing I love the bread cakes . Counting the sleeps till we return would definitely recommend staying here.

What a fantastic little hotel! Super dog friendly, with amazing staff and fantastic food. The room was spotlessly clean with beautifully crisp cotton bedding. Dogs are treated as well (if not better) as their human companions and get loads of fussing. The staff we came across during our short stay were all first class, nothing too much trouble and super friendly. The hotel is within a few hundred metres of the ferry terminal for the Mallaig/Armadale ferry. Views across the sound of sleat towards Mallaig and within easy travelling distance of the Skye Bridge at Kyle,of Lochalsh. This was our first visit to Skye and it won’t be our last. Can’t wait to go back to the Inn @ Aird a Bhasair.

We had been planning our big trip to Ireland/Scotland for quite some time. Detailed plans for each day and lodging reservations for each night. The only thing that we could not have planned for was this horrific storm that came in. We arrived at Belfast airport and awaited our flight…and waited…to find out that the flight was on a 2 hour delay due to the storm, and then cancelled all together. We were left scrambling…rushing to the rental car counters with hopes of driving to our destination at Isle Of Skye, quickly deflated when there wasn’t anything available. We immediately contacted the Inn to inform them that we were in fact caught up in this storm that was airing all over the news stations. We had tried to reach our destination by flight-auto-ferry to no avail. This situation was out of our hands as well as all of the other travelers in the area. It was quite shocking how inhospitable this Inn was. Did they really have zero compassion?! Would they truly keep ALL of our money. Yes they would. They kept every last penny. For what? They didn’t have to host us, clean our rooms, cook for us, do our laundry. I am a business owner and I promise you that this is not how I would have handled this situation. They stole money out of our pockets. This was a natural disaster that was well televised. The owners of this Inn knew exactly the situation that we were stuck in and chose to TURN THE OTHER CHEEK INSTEAD OF DOING THE RIGHT THING.

We were scheduled to arrive in Isle of Skye on Saturday 10/7 from Inverness....Unfortunately, our flight was delayed by Logan Air then cancelled several hours later.......No Logan representative to help us run down our checked luggage, just a curt email........We actually took two cabs from Belfast (ferry) to Glasgow costing over 1600 pounds. From there we rented a passenger van to get us onto The Inn @ ÁIRD A Bhàsair. Unfortunately, Scotland experienced 8 inches of rainfall, washing out roads necessary to make it all the way there. When reached, the hosts (predators would be a better description) refused to refund any of the 1600 pounds sterling.........Isle of Skye is not the easiest place to reach and catastrophes happen, put don't expect any sympathy from these money hungry innkeepers. But I heard through several touring the area that we were lucky we made it out of the floods at all......

A storm caused the road there to wash out so we weren’t able to keep our reservation. The host’s attitude was basically “we already got your money, so too bad, so sad!” They didn’t offer another stay or credit, a discount or anything. As a former AirBNB host I would have issued an immediate refund!. I see this as predatory treatment of guests, through no fault of their own had to reshuffle 7 people and pay for other last minute arrangements. Total lack of empathy or support. They kept $1600 and offered us nothing.

We went for supper - absolutely delicious food (mussels and crab linguine). Staff very friendly and welcoming. Although we didn't stay we would definitely go back for a meal! Beautiful location, especially if you're staying in Sleat.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. The staff were really friendly , helpful and hard working, the breakfast and evening meal menus were varied and cooked to perfection. If you are visiting Skye this is the place to stay, even the ferry is 10 minutes walk from the hotel. A special mention for Michael, Gemma, Mathew and Geraldine the manageress for going the extra mile to make our stay so good.

Lovely good quality food. Cosy little restaurant with a nice vibe. The food was really delicious. The mussels are fabulous and the sauce was amazing. Pasta also great. Would recommend for dinner if you were in the area. Service was also friendly and efficient and the restaurant very clean!

We had a fabulous one night stay in this charming little hotel overlooking the sea and had a delicious evening meal and breakfast with exceptionally friendly and professional service from the lady, who I think was probably the manager, and the rest of the staff. Would definitely come back again, a little gem of a hotel!
