Room was clean, spacious, well organized, tastefully decorated! The staff- very friendly and helpful, the breakfast , DIVINE. I wish i had woken up earlier to go cycling on the farm. Not a single thing to complain about. If you are driving past Jan Kempdorp, this is the place to stay.

All I can say Brilliant Brilliant and again Brilliant. Everything worked everyone is friendly Food are brilliant. Rooms are out of this world. Highly recommended. Home away from home that was the feeling when you stay there!!!!!! Thank you

Jan Kempdorp might not seem glamorous - and it's not, but the Border Hotel is a gem. Beautifully refurbished, the most incredible staff and luxurious room. The food is good too! A veritable meeting place of al the farmers around plus local businessmen and tourists. We loved it!

Excellent service and stay . The food is/was good country style. The rooms are comfortable, excellent quality and decorate with style A real gem in the Northern Cape and it will be a “must stay on our trip planning” if we visit again this part of our country

This place is a haven. Real South African hospitality. Old world charm. Friendly and helpful staff. Owner is a real delight. It is a sin to drive past. Stop and stay a night or two or three! We will go back.

The hotel has been beautifully renovated. The staff were lovely and friendly and even waited up to open the gates for us as we had a standing appointment. Breakfast was delicious! A very big thank you for a lovely stay!

Arrived exhausted after a long cycle and the staff were all, without exception, amazing. We were on a very tight budget, but they were extremely kind and generous. The room was by far the nicest we've stayed in South Africa. The second day was my friend's birthday and the staff presented her with a cake and sang happy birthday which was so sweet and thoughtful. We ended up staying an extra day

We stayed in an Executive King room. The rooms are spacious and the attention to detail is excellent. The staff is friendly, especially Kerneels at reception. Breakfast was delicious. Border Hotel is a true gem.

In an area where classy accommodation is hard to find, Border Hotel was top standard. We had dinner (have to book) in the most beautiful library room lined with beautiful dark wooden bookcases all around and a cosy fire. Truly, like from a movie. We stayed in June, the trees were on the property were ablaze in autumn colours. Top notch accommodation. Must commend the owners who turned this previously ugly duckling into such a splendid hotel.
