Had a very pleasant one night stay at this hotel whilst on our 5 week touring holiday. The staff were all lovely and all tried to speak in English to us and help with menus and have a general conversation with us rather than ignore us because they had to speak English like some hotels do, we really appreciated this especially the young girls serving the meals in the evening and I think maybe the owner who was doing the BBQ in the evening, he was very nice and made us very welcome. The room was clean, spacious with a very comfortable bed, the area was very quiet so we had no problems with sleeping with the windows open on a very hot evening. There was also a fan in the room. FYI there is an elevator but then to get to certain rooms there are still a few steps so if you have problems with this just ask when booking your room. There is free parking in the town centre which is maybe a 5 min walk from the hotel but I would suggest that for just €10 you use the hotels parking which is at the back of the hotel and secure (pass the hotel, turn right, then right again and then turn into the parking area which is through a red gate). Make sure you book this early. We had a lovely meal here, choice of seating inside or on the patio, better to book a table as although a large restaurant it was nearly full when we were there. The meals are simply described on the menu but everything we had was very tasty , local produce and perfectly cooked. We had oysters and foie gras when we were there and then opted for a couple of items which were barbecued on a large outside grill which were duck and beef, which were cooked beautifully, really tasty and juicy, even the lettuce was tasty (but in the uk our lettuce is rubbish anyway). We also opted for the local wine, a carafe of white and a red for €9 each which was also very nice. Breakfast was the usual fair of cheese, ham, bread and croissant and also good for €10. Would definitely recommend
