Our stay at Pacific 19 was fine. This is an older hotel with a new coat of paint and a great online presence (seriously, give that person a raise). The beds were large and comfortable. It was conveniently located and suited our purposes. Parking spaces are tiny and the lot was oversold, leading the hotel to instruct guests to park in illegal spots (fire lanes, double parking, etc.). We were instructed to park in a fire lane after having prepaid parking, and someone hit our car in the parking lot, which the hotel refused to accept any responsibility for. That put a real damper on our trip as we had to spend time dealing with the rental company, insurance, and a police report rather than enjoying our time in Kona. That said, we had already booked another night in Pacific 19 for the end of our trip prior to this happening, and we were pleasantly surprised that the hotel seems to have taken our feedback seriously and had more regulation of parking permits on our second visit.
