A bit disappointed with this hotel. Our room opened onto the bar area, therefore no view, a light in the bar was on until 2am and shown into the room. The shower curtain was dirty and hairdryer hanging off the wall, these are small things but shows a lack of attention to detail. Food was average. Staff were untrained and we had to keep trying to find people to get served at the bar as they sat upstairs chatting. All in all not a great experience, not somewhere we would recommend

We had a nice stay. The staff and the Manager was very kindly to us. We had a great new year party in this resort. Our Kids, our Friends and we enjoyed our stay so much. We will come again

A very nice hotel, excellent food, staff helpfull and kindly. Beautiful garden and the beach is clean outside the hotel. BUT, If you walk along the beach, away from the hotel, then you will see a lot of garbage.

From the time of placing the booking to check out staff was just great. Was very hospitable. The room was clean and comfortable. The food was hearty. We must specially mention the cute little out door Pizza oven which produced delicious Pizza for dinner. The beach was clean with full of sea shells which our 2 year old son enjoyed. Had wonderful relaxing holiday and will go back for sure. Cheers!

Awesome place to stay..❤ Lovely..💟 Food was very tasty👍 Rooms are very cleaned.. 🌟 Staf is very kind & supportive.... excellent service👍 We stayed for 1 night. We had an awesome experience in this hotel

We spend weekend at blue whale it is quite expensive but it is the inly exclusive one in the zone .very nice pool area andpool restaurant .only hotel with Italian 🍕 and good wine list is also availabile.

A good hotel in Kalpitiya cleanliness and service are held at a very high standard , i stayed there 7 nights in a Chalet , and i would like to mention the Manager of the Hotel Mr Sumith does an excellent job in looking after the welfare of his guests . All you have to do is ask him and its done . The quality of the food is good and the Sri lankan breakfast is excellent .The hotel is in a quiet location with a good garden and beach for long walks in the evening.Should you need transportation please ask the manager to organise Gamini the trishaw driver for you for your short trips around town.. I would like to mention that the blue whale has its own kitesurfing school , i did not use it but i met the instructor who is very good . The Chalets are big and has everything that one needs for a comfortable stay chalet 106 is the best at the end of the garden. The Kitchen chef makes a great dessert its called Wattalapam do not miss this otherwise you holiday will not be complete . Have a great holiday .

We had a nice holiday at blue wales resort and the staff was very friendly and the service was amazing and food was very good .and the rooms also very good and buffet also good . And the hotel was very clean i recamend the hotel it was amazing come and visit .

We had an amazing few days at the Blue Whale Resort. The staff was super friendly and very helpfull. The facilities are clean and comfortabele and the food and drinks are really good! The staff went all our for a romantic dinner on the beach, it was beautiful with a big sea food platter, a nice White wine, torches and a big bonfire. We definetly recommend this resort everyone! To top it all off, we had great kite surfing lessons from Rowan, he is very knowledgable and a realy good instructor. The kite surfing area is beautiful, windy and we got good gear during the lessons. Definetly a big recommendation!
