Full Moon Garden Hotel

Worst hotel stay during our two weeks in Sri Lanka. We picked this place because it was close to the airport. That and the lovely lady at the check- in are about the only positive things I can say about this place. If you stay on the weekend, you might experience loud bands. We called to find out when the party was planned to end and were told the mgr would call us. Of course, that never happened. Next call we were told the music would end at 10:30. Yep, no way. At midnight the band stopped but the party just moved to the hallway outside our room. I guess nobody thought there might be guests that weren’t part of the party. Needless to say, with a 4am wake up call, we only got about 2 hours of sleep. When I tried to discuss it with the front desk manager, he would not even discuss it or even look at me. The room was clean but it is very tired and in dire need of paint, furniture upgrade and some bathroom maintenance.

Worst place to stay if you are looking for place close to the airport. Their service is a joke. We got a food poisoning after having diners at their restaurant. We are 100% sure that this is due to the food from the restaurant here. We have checked everything and it can be traced back to the food here. The kitchen is filthy and the staff unkempt.

The worst hotel stay ever!! The hotel's cleanliness levels were beyond disgusting. There were so many mosquitos in the room that my 5 year old daughter has 7 bites on her face alone :( I raised the concern to the reception and they said they ran out of the repellent spray. There was a dirty plate outside of the room through the whole night. The buffet tables were crawling with ants, and there were ants in the room too. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting, with the tap nearly broken and black mould all around it - ew ew ew! Please don't stay there and waste your money, I was shockingly disappointed with the Sri Lankan hospitality!

Very Bad experience with staff & restaurant manager. They doesn't know that, how to treat customers.. Food Arrangement was very poor. And this is the worst experience for last few years. Don't recommend to others

Terrible. When booking our flights we were told by SriLankan Airlines we would be staying in the transit hotel at the airport. When we arrived we were shipped off here. If you are backpacking this is great. If you are expecting a hotel - this is terrible. Room dirty and full of mosquitos. Shower floods the entire bathroom. Smells. The only positive thing is that i’m too tired to care at the moment. One thing, the staff member we have met so far is very polite and helpful. Regarding using this as a transit hotel, SriLankan Airlines should be ashamed!

The service was very good The staff is friendly and helpfull.My family had a great time at yr hotell. Thanks and looking forward to arrange more funktions at yr hotell. THE POOL WERE FANTASTIC CHILDREN AND ADULTS LOVED TO BE IN THE POOL. And The hotell provided tje best to us to hv 2 changing rooms Mrs c hannsa from swedenll

Really good hotel, room was a bit older but nothing too bad. We enjoyed the place, really great food and nice pool and bar. Good location if you want to stay near the airport.

I liked it was close to the airport. The lunch was really good. The staff were very cool and helpful! The night time restaurant ambiance looks cool. Nice place to go for dinner. The pool was so nice. Thank you!

We booked Full Moon Garden Hotel form 01st Oct 2021 for 01 night with PCR however we were request by the government to do 01-night quarantine at a hotel despite being fully vaccinated as per the previous Quarantine measures. Before we arrived to SL from UK on 28th Sep 2021 the government changed the rules that allowed to enter without the PCR & 01-night hotel stay. I paid in full for 01 Night stay for 05 adults & 01 kid with Full Moon Hotel Since the government changed the rules as of 28th Sep 2021, I requested a full refund of the unused stay and it was denied by this hotel. This was after requesting the refund from Management at the Hotel. This is blatant robbery by this hotel. COVID was bad enough for the entire world to deal with but coming to SL & having to deal with this kind of unethical greed hotel l was a second blow to me. I still cannot settle myself to the fact that hotel could hide behind their policies & behave in such dishonest and crass manner. Change in Quarantine rules was not my doing but was a change by the SL government & hence the right thing to do was to refund the full amount or charge a nominal fee rather refunded only the PCR, Insurance & arrival transfer cost. reply by hotel GM & FOM to local agent was that the owner of the hotel advised to charged full cost of rooms before we arrived in SL. I would NOT recommend this Hotel to anyone. DO NOT PAY THEM prior to stay you will never get the money Pls share as this should not happen to any other traveler
