We were visiting a hotel for a work trip for one night. We had burgers for supper at the hotel, and it was perhaps the most disgusting thing we've ever eaten. The beef patty was like boiled and completely raw. We called the waiter and their supervisor, who brought the burgers to the chef, who admitted that the food was raw. They tried to offer replacement food, but our appetite was gone, and we said we wouldn't continue eating at that restaurant. We also stated that we wouldn't pay for the food, at which point they started insisting on payment for the requested Coca-Cola and Sprite. As I'm writing this, I've just thrown up the burger and I sincerely hope I haven't contracted a permanent intestinal infection, for example. Also during the vomitin, the housekeeping comes inside, even Im yelling that please don't come in. Absolutely horrifying place, I cannot recommend it to anyone!

Great breakfast... 10 minutes drive from JNB airport.. Lot of restaurants next to hotel.

Our check was at 3pm, we arrived at 4pm to find out that the rooms were not ready yet. We were asked to return at 5pm and to our disappoin**ent had to wait another 30mins for the reception to receive feedback from housekeeping. Eventually we checked in, and was told maintenance will be coming to fix a leaking handbasin. We walked through the passages that reeked of tobacco smoke!! Rooms are tiny for the price we paid; the worst experience was the tiny little bites we endured soonest we slept on the beds which was most uncomfortable, too soft and wobbly mattress with very thin duvet ; clearly poor quality linen! Hardly slept through the night due to the severe scratching from the dust mites or bed bugs as we couldn’t hear or see one mosquito.

Shower head had not been cleaned in years! At breakfast found hair in several of the dishes. Other than that, the stay was OK.

Very good breakfast and location for my purpose (close to airport, to RSA office and CP premises). Availability of diverse resto options at Emperor Palace. Just difficult to access the pool as have to go for a long walk

Good budget hotel near the airport , Prompt services and easy connectivity to the airport , Easily accessible to the ****** and restaurants.. Good for a day and easy access to the airport is added advantage.

We only stayed one night whilst waiting for another flight. The hotel is in a complex which clearly models itself on Las Vegas. The room was dreadful. It was small. There is no double glazing and it is situated next to a busy motorway so was extremely noisy. The air conditioning did not work-despite contacting reception and maintenance attending twice it still didn't work The fridge didn't work The bedside light didn't work The breakfast was excellent though. I definitely would not stay again!

First 3 hours after arriving the aircon wasn’t working on a 30° day. At night the speakers outside the main entrance and outside my window and by the lifts played music until 4 in the morning despite multiple visits to the front desk- no sleep! Room next door ordered room service and the tray was left on the floor outside for 24 hours - dirty
