Elewana Loisaba Tented Camp

This is a must do for anyone wanting to safari. We had the most amazing guide - Kasoo. I threw him a challenge that I wanted to see a cheetah in full flight, and he gave us just that. The camp staff are all amazing - thank you Lilian for the service where nothing was a problem. Amazing food too chef! I can’t recommend this place enough. We spent time at two camps (Loisaba and Il Kiliani in Masai Mara) as well as a few days at Diani Beach and the people at Loisaba were by far my favorite. Attentive, genuine, hospitable, and generous with their time and k college, this was truly a special part of our vacation. Rapha and Bill (our game drive guides) were knowledgeable and fun, Beatrice made sure every meal was perfect, and Jeremiah serves as a great GM, making sure all runs smoothly. If you have a chance, make the trip to the local village, and if possible, bring school supplies and small sports equipment or toys. Kids loved the bubbles and soccer balls. An experience our teenaged kids will never forget, made possible by the team at Loisaba.

Simply amazing. From start to finish our time here was unbelievable. Our guide, Dalmus, was the best! His knowledge of the animals and skill at finding them was very impressive. He made us feel safe and comfortable even when in the middle of a large pride of lions! The staff at Tented Camp were so welcoming. Betty was very helpful and always happy to make our trip run smoothly. The food was great. The swimming pools were beautiful. We would love to return in the future.

This was an unbelievably amazing experience for our family. Loisaba has all the game you could wish to see (although we will have to come back to spot the elusive cheetah) and we were so well looked after by all the staff and especially our exceptional guide Dalmas who is extraordinarily knowledgeable on every plant, bird and animal and brilliant at tracking them down. Loisaba is huge, yet empty of people. We rarely encountered other jeeps and those that we did see were other Elawana guests. The staff all went the extra mile for us again and again. The tents are supremely comfortable with lots of lovely extra touches like hot water bottles, fluffy towels and a resident family of Kudus. The situation is magical with the watering hole below, and uninterrupted views as far as the eye could see. The pools are so well positioned and in spite of the camp being full, we felt like we had the place to ourselves as it is all so well spread out. It was an unforgettable experience and I struggle to imagine how any safari could be any better.

We had a brilliant stay at Loisaba. The views are phenomenal, especially watching the animals near the watering hole and the food surpassed our expectations, with all meals truly delicious, and we loved midday coffee and cake. We saw all the animals we could have hoped for and would highly recommend. A special shoutout to Pemba who was so kind in playing with and looking after our 10 month old daughter. Truly special memories.

An exceptional location & experience … from the staff to the guides, the camp is 5*+++ … can’t speak more highly of this place. From the minute you arrive at the airstrip, to the minute you leave, it feels like home. Not to forget to mention the breathtaking view from the camp. Highly recommended!!
