Green Eco Resort

My stay at Green Eco Resort was way beyond my expectations. My host Shekhar and his family invited me for breakfast and dinner daily and since I traveled by myself I could learn about Nepal and local culture. Shekhar and his daughter took me around Ka**andu to learn about history and tempels. I can give best recommendations for his resort for anyone who look for a less busy place then the crowded center of Ka**andu

During the peak winter in Nepal, my family of four, including a couple and two boys aged 18 and 14, visited a charming family-run resort. Owned by a delightful couple with a 24-year-old son and an 18-year-old daughter, the resort provided a warm and welcoming a**osphere. All family members were friendly, helpful, and a pleasure to interact with. Our two-night stay was truly memorable, especially as we shared meals with other guests and the hospitable resort couple. I look forward to returning when I visit Nepal again in the near future. For those who prefer a tranquil environment away from crowds, dust, and noise, this place comes highly recommended. Despite its location a bit away from the main city, the friendly a**osphere, serene surroundings, breathtaking views, and cost-effectiveness make it a worthwhile choice for accommodation."

Fun place! Nice family on hill outside of the city. I enjoyed the quiet area and wonderful views and fresh air, family style meals with nice variety and good conversation. They understand how to adjust for tourist diet and preferences to help you be more comfortable. That said, it is not a luxury accommodation, rather it is a taste of village life with some of its rough edges.

My friend told me about this place and I stayed at the hotel. Unlike the hotel in Thamel, this hotel in Kirtipur had clean air, nice scenery, and a calm a**osphere. The meals prepared by owner's wife were very delicious and gave me a good memory of my stay in Nepal. I am happy to come here when I stay in Kathmandu!

First of all, what I want to convey is that Nepal, and especially Kathmandu, is a land worth traveling to. It's a captivating place where traditions and culture are richly preserved, and where the hustle and serenity coexist. For me, traveling is not just about experiencing the culture and history of a place but also about feeling the lives of the people who call it home, sharing meals, and making connections. The reason I recommend this hotel is because it offers a clean and safe place to stay, and the warm interactions with the family here enhance the essence of the journey. How about making this Green Eco Resort Hotel your base for your stay in Kirtipur area? And if you want nightlife you can minitrip a day or two in Thamel or the city center? I believe it's a great combination for truly experiencing Kathmandu. Additionally, the city has a well-established taxi service, and using ride-hailing apps like InDrive can efficiently help you navigate the city, allowing you to visit various places while experiencing the local life and nature from this hotel. Furthermore, the owner is always available for travel advice, making things easier. The food at the hotel's restaurant is delicious, with a friendly and not overly touristy taste! Plus, the beds and facilities are clean, and the air is fresh, creating a pleasantly tranquil a**osphere.

We stayed two nights at Green Eco Resort after trekking to Annapurna Base Camp. The hotel is highly recommended. Green ECO Resort is a nice, simple and clean hotel a little outside the dust and noise of Ka**andu. The host Shekhar is fluent in English and has a great sense of humor. His lovely wife and children helps running the hotel. Shekhar is a great guide and knows “everything” about the area, activities and in particular trekking in the Himalayas. Remember to use the roof terrace of the hotel for a spectacular view of the Himalaya range. The hotel is very close to Kirtipur (part of Ka**andu). Kirtipur has old part of the town on top of the hill with no cars. Here you find several roof top restaurants and bars with spectacular views. Shekhar arranged a lot for us incl our amazing trek to Annapurna. He also kindly gave us a nice tour of Kirtipur.

Beautiful and very clean accommodation. It was a great pleasure to be here. The food was excellent and we enjoyed it very much. Big and very clean rooms. Shekar and his team are very helpful and friendly.

Had a great time here. Perfect location to enjoy Kathmandu but escape the hustle and noise. Beautiful views. Room was huge. Warm water for shower. Beds are great. Excellent staff. Friendly and professional. Took a hike in area to stupa being built

Green Eco Resort is New, clean and definately the most friendly Hotel in Ka**andu. We Stayed a few days after a trek. The owner Shekhar and his family were help helpful organizing everything from local cooking class, visit to the nearby mushroom factory, roundtrip in and around Kirtipur and not least our trek to Annapurna Basecamp. Whatever wish we had had Shekhar came up with ideas and solutions. I look forward to come Back and can recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Ka**andu, who prefer staying in a calm hotel in natural surroundings (compared to noisy and dusty Thamel).
