Tamara is awesome and the food is absolutely brilliant. Chef Upaching and his team prepared an amazing smorgasbord of delicious delights daily! The staff are super friendly and they go out of their way to ensure that guests are well looked after and super comfortable.

We had an exceptional experience staying at Tamara during our family trip to Kodai. There were 8 adults in our group of varying age groups and needs. The staff was incredibly attentive, and the service was outstanding. They went above and beyond to accommodate all our requests (special thanks to Suhail). The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the delicious food we enjoyed at in-house restaurant "La Provence" for breakfast and dinner. The vegetarian spread was expansive, with every dish being absolutely mouthwatering. After casually chatting with the chefs about some specific dishes like Mishti Doi (from Bengal) and tomato-based gravy (South Indian), we were delighted to find those dishes specially prepared for us and delivered to our dinner table that same night. In addition to the buffet spread, we enjoyed live counter that served dosas (breakfast) and chaat items (dinner). The young adults in our group were interested in cooking lessons, but not the typical ones like pizza or chocolate making that they offered at most resorts. When we expressed this, Chefs Selva and Ranjit took special care to curate a custom class and teach them few different unique local cuisine dishes, including jackfruit gravy, appams, special rasams and curries. Not only did we learn a lot, we also picked up valuable tips for our own cooking from these top chefs. The rooms and facilities were impeccably maintained and featured eco-friendly amenities. The views were stunning, and the trail down to the lake starts right at the entrance of the resort, allowing us to enjoy early morning walks through lush, rainforest-like pathways every day. Despite heavy rain for three out of our four-day stay, which could have spoiled the vacation elsewhere, this resort made it a memorable experience as we engaged in numerous family games in the lobby area when we weren't savoring the delicious food.

We stayed at "The Tamara, Kodaikanal" for three nights, and our experience exceeded all expectations. The staff support was excellent, making our stay feel like a slice of heaven, with clouds playing hide-and-seek throughout the day. The cleaning staff was meticulous and provided personalized attention. I would like to extend a special thanks to Mr. Prabakaran for his exceptional service. Additionally, we were highly impressed by Mr. Ebi (resort driver), for his humble nature and excellent service. He recommended tourist spots and displayed a creative personality with a good taste in music and directions. Please note that while the resort charges for food, liquor, and sightseeing may seem high, they are worth every penny. We will definitely visit The Tamara, Kodaikanal again in the future.

The services and the staff are very friendly and nice. Had a great time! Jose kutty was very friendly and cooperative, his recommendations and service oriented nature is to be experienced, ask for Jose kutty if you want to be pampered, kudos to Jose kutty and Tamara team.

Chef Upaching at Tamara Kodai Restaurant provided an exceptional dining experience. Their special dishes showcased creativity and skill, while their hospitality made us feel welcome and valued. From start to finish, it was a delightful evening. Highly recommended!

The restaurant experience in The Tamara Kodai was wonderful. Jose Kutty, who had come on deputation from Trivandrum took care of us and made us feel at home. Beyond that, learning about his experience with the Tamara family gave us a good feeling about returning time and time again. Suhail too was helpful with the ambience, heater and our orders. And a special mention for the Mahi fish preparation on May 14th dinner! Hot toddy was amazing

Service was top notch and property is really premium! Great leadership by GM and promoters and all the staff were really involved with customers. This includes Housekeeping staff Prabhakaran to F&B and in room dining. Landscaping is well maintained and property is well designed and thoroughly maintained.

I have never seen or been to a worse so called 5 star property. It is a horrible experience. Curd rice takes 1.5 hours to reach your room in the in room dining. Sugar sachets are generally sent with tea in a wet container making the sugar wet. Rooms are dirty and badly maintained. Staff are discourteous. Over all a disastrous stay and holiday. Please avoid at all costs
