Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui

We've stayed at many resort hotels in Thailand, and we had really disappointing experience with this one that we planned to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel is located halfway up a hillside with pretty much nothing around, and they promote doing nothing and just enjoying the hotel, which was our plan. When we checked into the room, we tried to lay on the sofa and found that the sofa and cushions smelled really bad, like some disgusting sweaty smell. We informed the reception about it, and they said they would fix it. So, we decided to go to the beach, but the sand was rocky, making it impossible to walk on, and the sea was very wavy too. We then moved to the swimming pool to try and enjoy ourselves, but the staff started washing the floor with a very noisy machine right around the pool. With no usable sofa, walkable beach, or swimming pool we could enjoy ourselves, we went out for dinner and hoped to at least have a hot bath when we returned. When we got back, we discovered that staff had taken away the cushion that smelled the most disgusting, maybe changed the cushion covers, but the sofa itself still smelled bad. We couldn't sit on it without putting fresh towels on it. It was already quite late, and my husband took a shower, but when it was my turn, there was no hot water. So, we couldn't have the hot bath we were looking forward to. The hot tub was actually one of the reasons we booked this hotel. The hotel said they would send an engineer to check, but it was late, and we really didn't want to spent our holiday to keep fixing problems. Another day, while we wanted to get some milk from the fridge for coffee, we found that the milk had already been opened by the previous guest. We informed the manager at the front desk again about the smelly sofa, and she responded that they had already changed the cushion covers. Alright then. Guess that’s the best they could do? There were other issues as well, such as calling for the buggy and them forgetting our order, so we ended up waiting for 15 minutes in the dark at the hotel entrance. We were accidentally locked out on the balcony just by sliding the door closed (housekeeping said the lock had a problem and easily dropped down to lock the door). The phone in the room wasn't working. The fragrance in the room was too strong and gave us headaches. The hairdryer was very weak, and there was no speaker in the room, etc. Our stay was frustrating, and we couldn't enjoy the hotel even a tiny bit. Anniversary celebration was ruined. We thought we could trust the standards of a Banyan Tree hotel.

We stayed at the Garrya Tongsai for 4 nights as part of a relaxation trip. The property is located along a hill with most room balconies facing towards the sea. The property has a good green cover and provides amazing views of the bay. The staff were always smiling and ready to help. Things that were a bit disappointing for the property. The private beach is just pebbles and no sand. During our entire stay, we went to the resort beach only on the first day. Rest of the time, we went outside to the nearby Choengmon beach which is nice and quiet with a sandy beach and great to swim. Also, the pools feel a bit dated compared to other resorts. The rooms were ok but felt slightly small. Not the fanciest but acceptable. Also, the tub is placed on the balcony and fully visible from the pool. Not a big problem, but please keep in mind. We told the staff and after a bit back and forth, they put up a screen to give some privacy. The breakfast, we felt had limited options and the spread did not change much during our stay. The options, especially the local Thai food was lacking any spice or flavour. Also, the fresh fruit lacked much flavours - maybe due to seasonal variations. However, the staff was very friendly and cared for us well. Also, one thing to consider - the property is located on a hill and getting around requires buggies which hotel staff are happily able to provide. However, we felt that it prevented us from being too independent. Also, we had rented a car and the parking is a bit far away. We spent most of the time outside the property as we did not feel that our needs were met by the resort and had to depend On going outside for beach, food etc. Please note that we had already stayed elsewhere for the first half and had hoped for a resort vacation during the final 4 nights which we did not get. A bit disappointed overall.

Me and my brother visit there once and it still remarkable the view is insane, I booked Beachfront Suite Seaview Double Room stay with my brother. what I really like there is the bathtub with sea view that's the gimmick right there tho. Room service are nice, gym's equipment are nice and they got sea view in that room too. Everything is perfect from front to back. Go there, Samui is waiting. Be there or be square B)

Wry nice hotel with great food, service, beach and ocean view

除了風大又下大雨入住當天的海灘不能游泳以外，酒店堪稱完美。酒店前台的thunder超級熱情的接待我們，每一個工作人員都超級nice。而且酒店有很多免費的活動可以參與～ 因為白天天氣不好水上運動被叫停，但還是享受了網球和nature walk，view point景色值得起大早～ 在爬到view point的路上酒店的guide告訴我們因為疫情期間疏於管理有75間房間需要重新翻修，所以現在客人超級少。及時是春節蘇梅爆滿的情況下，也能在這裏找到一片寧靜～ 晚餐fishtale的餐廳超級、超級、超級好吃！因為是我們的週年紀念，還佈置了客房，第二天早餐還送了可愛的甜品。

首先好的點是：酒店風景很美，很安靜，服務熱情！泡酒店很舒服。不好的點：早餐種類相比這個價錢比較少。我們一月底去的，酒店私人沙灘浪特別大！嚇人的大。周邊什麼也沒有，蘇梅島打車很貴，不過走500米有租摩託車的，出於安全考慮我們沒有租。酒店吃飯不算便宜。也沒有什麼孩子能玩兒的。很認真的寫評論，供參考。

環境都不錯，早餐也是比較有泰式風情一些，嗯，環境下是一個小花園一樣，內容豐富而多彩，服務人員也非常的親切，總之是一個不錯的地方，非常鬧中取靜。

整體環境、位置都非常不錯 有山也有海 也有準備許多小禮物讓人非常驚喜 服務人員都非常親切熱情 總體來說非常推薦。

Отель находится на отшибе, вход в море не песок, а ракушечник. Номера уставшие, все полы скрипят! Номер с бассейном нет смысла брать так как вода в нет кипяток (апрель). Завтраки тоже так себе, единственное хорошо что делают фреши! Вообщем сомнительно лухари отель как они себя позиционируют.
