Porto Bello Beach

This was our second time in Porto Bello beach and we had the most beautiful experience... the staff is kind, the food delicious and the youngest of our family loved the Waterpark. I will miss u all guys, but I promise to come back in September...

Amazing hotel, stayed here with a family of 6 for a week. The food was always delicious and hot and plenty of choice but dinning room did get busy at tea time. The restaurant is fully self service and you need to find your own table and get your own drinks etc. Never had an issue getting a sunbed at the beach (and I am not up early, around 09:30) the pool did however get busy with people reserving sunbeds. Kids club was fantastic and Au was absolutely amazing with the kids and running the mini disco each night. She really made our holiday and is a real asset to the hotel. Hotel and rooms were very clean. The towels were changed daily in our room. The rooms are very modern however does lack some storage. Can’t wait to return

Had a relaxing time. Food was great, Thank you House keeping staff keep place immaculate. Thank you Mpumi & Amy for making sure we knew what activities happening where and where and the dancing after the shows was such great fun. Loved the different themed restaurants.and that at any given time there is somewhere where you can grab food if you miss meal times.

It's absolutely amazing place, we were there 4 times already and thinking coming back again next year, thank you so much Ausra in kids club,she is brilliant in kids club, she made my daughter's stay very enjoyable! Bar tenders in hotel's lobby bar are very kind and helpful, very nice people, George in the pool bar very nice too, all the staff is so helpful!

Just returned from a week at the Porto Bello and it was faultless. The staff work tirelessly to provide a wonderful service, always high fiving the children and chatty and friendly. The pool bar staff were particularly memorable. It is not a huge resort but I think this adds to the general atmosphere around the pool during the daytime and in the evening. Every morning would start with a dance around the pool at circa 10am by the staff. There are three speciality restaurants and you need to book the night before. This really isn’t an issue but if you don’t book in the morning we found we couldn’t have the time we wanted. The food in the Italian was amazing. The rooms were cleaned and you can get fresh towels for the pool every 2/3 days. Unfortunately people were reserving sun loungers very early in a morning which wasn’t problematic per se… if you can’t beat them and all that. We visited the spa twice for a massage and it was the most relaxing experience. Our arm was twisted after we got a sampler massage when around the pool. The spa isn’t cheap but it’s worth it. A photographer comes to the hotel on a Thursday and Sunday and his photos are lovely. They are ten euros per photo which for the quality of the photos we thought was good value. The kids disco at the amphitheatre means that those travelling without children can avoid this entertainment which is set below the water park. The lazy river was a firm favourite in our family. The drinks and food are not part of the all inclusive but they are not overpriced so this was not an issue. Some people were moaning about paying for photos, drinks etc which is why I have included this within the review. Yes you’ve paid for all inclusive but the additional costs are reasonable. We’d definitely return and didn’t want to come home after a week. A truly memorable stay!

This hotel is amazing ! The people are extremely friendly. The staff at reception are very helpful. The toilets are very clean and the maids are very polite. The food is AMAZING and I could always find something thing to eat . I would 100% recommend the kids club as the people are very nice. The water park is very fun with lots of good slides and the beds are super comfy. I liked the entertainment at night it was fun to watch.The only thing is you get harassed many times a day to buy a €20 t-shirt and even if you say no they do not take that as an answer. But all in all I would rate this hotel as a 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just returned from the most amazing two weeks at this resort. We were a group of 20 (family ranging from 3 months to 73!). We go on holiday as large group every year and sometimes resorts aren’t that welcoming to such a large group - it can be like it’s an inconvenience however this definitely wasn’t the case here! We all booked separately however I emailed the week before requesting if possible to please have our rooms near each other- they promptly replied to my email and said they would try. When we arrived we found they had done this for us and we were all very close by. We had the most beautiful sea view room right by the beach underpass. The food was amazing - I wouldn’t say the “a la cartes” are the best we’ve been to as they are buffet/ help yourself (apart from the Italian you get one visit during your stay) which doesn’t feel as “a la carte” as being served. However apart from that the food was delicious. The main buffet always had plenty to offer and even at busy times I can’t believe how the staff are so on top of restocking the food- you never saw empty trays. We found all the staff to be courteous and polite - the bar staff especially at the pool and beach bars work very hard as do the maids. Reception here are very helpful- which in the past with other resorts we’ve stayed at we haven’t always found this to be the case. However even when we phoned reception as realised we’d ran out of toilet roll- there was someone knocking at our door with a roll in minutes! A couple of days into our holiday we realised our little boys favourite bear was missing from our bedroom- I asked reception if they could see if maybe it had got caught up in the bedding when the maids changed the beds and within hours they had tracked it down and it was returned! The beach is one of the most beautiful beaches we've been on and because it is sandy and not shingle it is a beautiful warm temperature. Even swimming far out it is crystal clear. All in all I would say this is a top class resort and I couldn’t recommend it enough. Would love to return in the future.

Excellent facilities, extremely friendly staff and an amazing atmosphere, we got involved in plenty of activities that were organised by the entertainment team, including, water polo, magic show, circus acts, disco and Also being the best volley ball team 🍌!!! Met some great characters, Mr D , NJ was on the ball organising events!! Would definitely recommend

During my time at Portobello I was convinced to have a spa treatment at the spa in the hotel as I was struggling with my skin. I had the scrub and aloe treatment and I have to say my skin felt amazing afterwards, soft and the redness and itchy dry feeling stopped. Sevi was my therapist and she was amazing. Sevi was friendly and absolute lovely. She made me feel at ease and welcomed and she was very good at her job. I was asked if I would want light, moderate, or intense pressure and I opted for moderate which Sevi did perfectly. It was an absolute pleasure and just what I needed after a week in the sun! Sevi is definitely an asset to the hotel spa! I have booked to have a facial in a few days before I leave and I can not wait.
