Grecotel Casa Paradiso

Firstly I would like to say what a beautiful hotel! The grounds of the hotel are stunning! I travelled alone as a single parent with 2 children (one with additional needs) I had emailed the hotel a few weeks before to make them aware and they were fantastic and catered to our needs) we were upgraded from originally a casa varanda with sea view to a beautiful family bungalow with a kingsize bed and a seporate room with 2 single beds! The aircon was superb and the room was clean and nicely decorated with a boho vibe to it. Only downside to the room was how small the bath was, for a 5’7 woman it was pretty tiny but the shower worked fine. We stayed in room 481 and had a view of the gym and water slides and farm land. There are 2 pools with 2 additional smaller pools attached, one being by the main hotel which I found was pretty quiet more couples and adults spent time at this pool or with much younger children (toddlers) and then the other pool down by the beach had 2 water slides which my children loved and a larger swimming pool which was so warm like a bath. Down at this pool is where the snack bar is, that served the most beautiful fresh food prepared daily from fruit cocktails, salads, wraps, baguettes, sandwiches, ice cream, waffles, crepes, pizza, pies, chips, kebabs, gyros the list goes on but the food was stunning and something for everyone! I would like to say a special thank you to Katherina who served the waffles and crepes! This lady along with all the staff works super hard all day long and made my son who has autism feel so special and made up loves special waffles! Thank you. This pool is more lively! More music and hussle and bussle! The only down thing I will say is that there needs to be some drainage around the slide area, although the lifeguard works tirelessly to get rid of the water children and adults were slipping and hurting themselves all the time. From this pool area you can find a path that leads straight over to the beach! It is beautiful white sands with plenty of loungers free. The sea is warm and the waves are so much fun! It’s a must to go down around 8:15pm for sun set pictures over Turkey! It’s beautiful! The food in the main restaurant is lovely! There is something for everyone to enjoy! We loved the chocolate pancakes of a morning! the grounds and gardens of the hotel are covered in fresh fruit and veg all grown to use in the restaurant which is stunning and the gardeners work long and hard to preserve this! The kids club wasn’t great, not well advertised and pretty much catered for the German children same with the mini disco of an evening. This is at the front of the hotel and although the kids didn’t quite understand most of it they still danced and had some fun. We have fell in love with Kos and have booked to come and stay at the Grecotel casa paradiso again next august! We are counting down the weeks! This year was our 3rd time in the resort as a family with young kids and extended family members. In our opinion it is a very well balanced resort for us. Not too fancy, but very comfortable, spacious, clean, well maintained, with enough activities to go around whole day with the kids. It also nice to see the improvements and changes, such as brand pool looks, upgraded bathroom near the main bar, kids area, and home grown veggies. Staff always there and approachable, excellent food variety, all fresh, and tasty. Sea is warmer on this side of the island, which makes you enjoy it more than on the other side. Wifi is not covering 100% of the area, but I am sure it will get better. Covered areas have stable connection and sufficient bandwidth. PS - Someone wrote here that he/she was waiting for toast for 20 minutes. :-D I have no idea how that could have happened as toast machine is self service and takes minute (was doing toasts to kids). PS2 - Really appreciated staffs help with arranging logistics around getting medicine for our kid that got sick. VERDICT - Looking forward coming again!

Bonjour Nous y sommes pour le moment, vraiment rien a dire sur cet hôtel. Il est vraiment sympa, le personnel très à l'écoute et très serviable. Tout est propre, la nourriture n'en parlons pas un délice varié et frais, en ce qui concerne les femmes de chambre, rien à dire non plus, elles sont aussi a l'écoute,notre chambre était toujours nickel après leur et le moindre problème, aussitôt dit, aussitôt réglé. Je recommande cet hôtel sans problème. Martial

Superbe semaine passée  en famille dans cet hôtel (5 adultes, 2 enfants de 11 et 6 ans), du 9 au 16 juillet.  À l’arrivée un accueil très chaleureux par le personnel, une application (en anglais) dédiée à l’hôtel qui regroupe toutes les informations.  L’hôtel est très propre, et entretenu quotidiennement. Les chambres sont également nettoyées tous les jours, ravitaillées d’une bouteille d’eau chaque matin et décorées avec goût. Certes les salles de bains ne sont pas des plus modernes mais elles font totalement l’affaire ! Nous avions deux chambres dans les petites maisons proches de la piscine principale et une chambre familiale en face de la boutique de l’hôtel. • Les chambres dans les maisons sont vraiment superbes, et au calme malgré la proximité avec l’air de jeux , la piscine principale et le restaurant. La plage et la seconde piscine ne sont pas très loin non plus. • La chambre familiale en face de la boutique était plus bruyante: beaucoup de passage, climatisation qui fait du bruit jour et nuit et fenêtre des enfants qui donne directement sur les étalages.  TOUT le personnel était très serviable, en particulier à l’accueil du restaurant et les cuisiniers. Le buffet était d’ailleurs très bon. Certains plats comme les crudités, pizzas, spaghettis et fruits sont toujours disponibles, pour le reste les plats et les grillades changent (les viandes en sauce sont délicieuses !). Grande carte de cocktails et boissons en tout genre au bar. Sur cette semaine de juillet nous avons trouvé qu’il n’y avait pas beaucoup d’enfants. La piscine principale n’était presque jamais utilisée (plusieurs fois nous étions les seuls dedans). Beaucoup de monde à la plage en journée malgré les fortes chaleurs, mais une fois passé 18h plus personne, la plage et la mer sont à vous ! L’arrêt de bus pour se rendre à Kos se trouve à droite sur la route goudronnée en allant vers la plage (2.10 le ticket). Nous avons vraiment apprécié toute cette verdure en mode potager (en revenant de la plage il n’est pas étonnant de rencontrer un jardinier qui récolte les pastèques et coupe des morceaux à tout ceux qui voudraient en déguster une part). Les terrains de tennis et de basket n’ont pas l’air d’être souvent réservés ce qui était parfait pour nous (il faudrait peut être juste changer le matériel pour quelque chose de plus neuf). Nous n’avons également pas vu beaucoup de monde à la salle de sport qui se trouve au -1 au niveau de l’accueil. Le seul petit bémol serait que le français n’est pas parlé par le personnel (compliqué pour les animations des plus  petits lorsqu’ils ne comprennent pas l’allemand et l’anglais), l’application pourrait au moins être disponible en français. Et l’emplacement qui n’est pas optimal si l’on désire bouger de l’hôtel.

Wir waren im September zwei Wochen in der Anlage. Was man zunächst wissen sollte: Das Hotel liegt auf der Windseite der Insel. Wir selbst würden nicht mehr im September auf diese Seite der Insel reisen, sondern früher im Jahr. Die Anlage ist sehr schön. Überall wird Gemüse angebaut und geerntet. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön - die Badezimmer sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Es gab leckeres Essen in Form von Buffett. Leider wiederholte sich das Essen bereits nach 5/6 Tagen. Vor der Anlage fährt ein Bus nach Kos-Stadt. Zum Strand selbst muss man über eine kleine Straße. Hier fährt eigentlich nur der Bus. Es ist somit so gut wie kein Verkehr. Es gibt die Möglichkeit an der Animation teilzunehmen, diese ist aber nicht gut promotet. Vor der Anlage gibt es Tennisplätze welche man kostenlos nutzen kann - einfach an der Rezeption buchen. Abends gibt es gegen 21 Uhr immer ein Programm. Musikquiz, Shows oder Kinoabend. Es gibt schöne Pool mit zwei großen Rutschen. Leider gibt es keine Chance auf Schatten in den Pools, was sehr ärgerlich ist. Die Sonne knallt volle Kanne aufs Wasser. Das ist gerade bei den Kinderpools alles andere als schön. Wenn man nicht im Buffettrestaurant abends essen möchte, kann man an der Reception ein á la carte Essen buchen. Das ging bei uns ein Mal in der Woche. Jeden Tag hatten wir neue Wasserflaschen in unserem Kühlschrank auf dem Zimmer, das war ein toller Service.

Decent hotel Pro’s: - excellent location - good quality of food - not too overcrowded - some good facilities (gym, water slides, pools) - various activities around the hotel (water sports, pools, gym) - 15 minutes from airport - shop in resort is quite cheap with lots of variety in items - wifi works almost everywhere - beach is amazing. Clear water. I’f any sea**** staff remove it very quickly Con’s - the ‘bungalow’ was a massive let down. Very outdated and small with mold all over the bathroom. The room itself i would rate 2 stars it was very bad quality. Beds where like camp beds very flimsy and thin quality duvets. - mini fridge stocked with 2 water bottles every 2 days with there being 3 of us (2 adults and one 17 year old) it was not ideal. - food did not have much variety, so after a couple days gets a bit boring - only air-con is in your room, none in lobby - staff not very helpful. Asked reception multiple times about what would happen on our last day as we had to checkout 10 hours before our flight and was only told the morning of our flight that we where given a shower room for 30 minutes for 3 people!!! Other: - No water bottles available at bars which I suppose is for an eco friendly approach to the hotel so paper cups are used via a dispenser. If you want to buy water bottles they are around €0.60 to €1.20 at the shop in the resort which is quite cheap. - Seen a lot of people saying it’s a fight for sun beds in the morning I disagree especially on the beach got there around 9 each morning and most sun beds available This resort has lots of potential to be 5 stars if upgrades are made to all rooms not just the rooms surrounding the lobby and maybe a Greek restaurant was added or at least more Greek food considering you are in greece.

I took my wife and two kids (7 & 5) and I was NOT disappointed. A perfect place for families. The staff could not do enough for you and the grounds were extremely well kept with fruit and vegetables growing everywhere. Everywhere is clean and pool areas were kept very clean. Self service for beer, soft drinks, wine, tea & coffee whilst the cocktails were extremely good. Cleanliness is a real plus and the slides were a real hit with my kids. I can’t talk highly enough of this place. It was fantastic. Not a lot of English people but that didn’t bother us. Beach can be windy but as a kite surfing/wind surfing centre, this is accepted. Overall, it’s an amazing hotel and we had a fantastic time.
