Aparthotel Globus

It was the best hotel experience I had in Krakow. I am going to return to this hotel again and again. Located in the heart of Krakow, thr hotel was close to the Old Town (approximately 5 minutę walj to Rynek) and Kaziemierz Quater. There are many shops,bars and restaurants around it, so it was very easy to find a nice place to spend evening. The hotel is very clean and tidy, food was great, the room was spacious. I will return again for sure!

After booking this hotel, please be aware that the reception is not at the same hotel but around the corner. There is no reception here. Unfortunately we ended up booking another hotel but to damp in our room (room 102). The trams on the front are a 4 way system so sleeping is hard if your not a deep sleeper. There is an on going issue with fire alarm going off, we ended up on the street twice in one night with other guests, I rang reception after 10 minutes and she said they had no idea the alarms were going off, she said the smoke comes from the restaurant next door and sets them off, I asked if she check all the rooms to be safe, she said I am not aloud to check the room but all the door handles are not hot. We also booked a double room and was given a triple room with 3 single beds in it, we are away on our wedding anniversary so was not ideal, reception just said we are fully booked and push 2 beds together. Also reported that the TV does not work. Northing was done to sort this problem either. Unfortunately the staff just laughed when I tried to rase any issues.

On arrival there’s a note on the door asking you to go to another hotel. You walk about 5 minutes (depending how fast you walk) to the Leone hotel. The receptionist then provides you with 2 codes, one to enter the Globus and another for a keypad box. Once you’ve mastered this. You receive one key (no key card) and a business card that you pop in the slot for the electrics. If you like escape rooms this is the perfect hotel. After the initial stress of eventually entering the room the first evening was fine, however this was short lived. We showered the next day and enjoyed walking around Krakow site seeing. When we returned to our room we were met with the most unpleasant drains smell from the bathroom. The odour was constant and made our stay uncomfortable.

Great location, very central and easy to walk to everything. Easy pick up points for taxi’s too. Beds were super comfy, room was clean and tidy. Two size towels given, tea cups, tea and coffee in the room but no kettle?? Bathroom was modern and well done, could do with a new shower head (room 104) as when we changed from full power (as was very strong on the setting) the water sprayed out of the top! Check in process could be reviewed as we didn’t receive any check in emails to show us what to do, so you have to walk around the corner to another hotel which is no problem as I did find this beforehand on a website but further instruction would be great. Overall was a great stay, would stay again.

Location was excellent. Room needed a little bit of Update Bathroom was finished to a good standard. Used It as a base. To get around krakow , going On tours, light the salt mines ,as well as the night life It seems some of the sights at night By boat was fantastic As well as the krakow of eye Other words a big wheel

When we arrived the doors were locked and no body inside - now I understand technology has taken over however when you have 60 year olds that doesn’t come simple. We were struggling what this password and combination was. We then had to go to a another hotel/hostel thing where the lady told us the password/ combination. Overall it doesn’t have to be that difficult than to put someone on a desk. However the room was spotless and plenty of space with great wifi. Best of all a 2 min walk to the old town

We stayed here on a 3 day stay for our anniversary. Upon arrival we had to walk to a hotel around the corner to check in as there is no recption at this hotel. This was told to us prior to our arrival, so it was not unexpected. It's only a 2 minute walk. Check-in was easy and painless. Back at the globus, we pick up the key from your room Key safe. The room itself was clean and tidy and basic. The bathroom was a good size. There are towels, tea and coffee facilities and a walk-in wardrobe, albeit very basic. The bed was comfortable but low to the floor, and we also had single duvets, not a double. The hotel is only a short walk to the main square, about 15 mins max. You do hear the trams go by, but they were not a problem. There is a small shop below if you need anything and some lovely restaurants nearby by. One of which was our venue for breakfast every morning. This was the about 12-minute walk from the apartment. Good selection for breakfast so you won't go hungry.

I would not stay here again for a few reasons. First of all room wasn’t that clean as i would expect. No staff to help with anything. Room was dated and tired looking. My room was just too hot and It was difficult to sleep.

We stayed here for 3 nights booked through an agent. On the plus side the location is good, central for transport and walking distance to old town. We had issues checking in as there is no reception so you need to go to another hotel around the corner. Helpful staff gave us codes to get in to collect our key but it was annoying not to get direct access. We had an issue with the futon beds so be aware if you don’t mind having a lower bed. We had a walk in wardrobe which was good but it only had one hanger. We were not told breakfast was at another location. Nothing in booking info or hotel voucher. We raised this with the Globus and they admitted they didn’t include this information in the hotel voucher but said they had not had any other complaints. Not exactly a helpful reply. Breakfast was good but as long as you don’t mind leaving the hotel to get it. Bit of a time waste when you want to get up and out each day. We heard some tram/train noise but very little considering how close you are to transport links. Overall it was clean but we wouldn’t have chosen it if we had had full information about breakfast and the checking in procedure. I think it is very poor to not inform people at the booking stage.
