I have been using hotels in different cities of the world for more than 10 years because of my job. In this process, I have been to many countries, from the Netherlands to Sri Lanka, from Rwanda to Russia, and more. But for the first time, I encountered a theft at a hotel where I was staying. And I was very disappointed that this event took place in a country like Georgia, where I love its people, culture, and nature. When I arrived at the hotel, I did not like the first room because it smelled like smoking, and I left immediately. I settled into the new room they gave me. As I was leaving the hotel, I realized that one of my belongings - the tripod for my camera was not in the room. I explained the situation to the receptionist, and together we looked again at the first room which I didn't like and left immediately. We could not find it there as well. I could not wait any longer because of lack of time and the attendant promised to ask EVERYONE and inform me. Indeed, this officer called the next day. He stated that he talked to EVERYONE and that no one had ever seen such an item. Then I asked one of our employees to go back to the hotel and look at the security footage. He went and they looked at the records with the hotel clerk. In the record, it is clearly seen that I entered the hotel with that tripod in my hand and left without that when leaving. I would like to reiterate: first, everyone is spoken to, and no one has ever seen such a thing. But after WATCHING THE FOOTAGE, somehow someone realizes that I have forgotten it in the room which I first entered(smoked), then he took it to my room, and because I didn't open the door, he LEFT IT by the door, in the middle of the corridor. On the top of that, they accused me of lying and fraud. Turns out, “I took the tripod and kept it”. Such swindle and lies just for 200 bucks, shame on you! STAY AWAY.
