Bluegreen Vacations Christmas Mountain Village, an Ascend Resort

I enjoyed the resort lots to do only issue I booked the timber and was placed in the townhome. The townhome was nice just a lot of stairs and the general layout is not as open as the deluxe timbers. The townhome does not have a covered deck either. Would recommend and would stay again just would double check about the booking prior to arrival. I booked through RCI.

We stayed at a cottage it was small but it had everything except washer and dryer which I was hoping to get since I was staying there for a week and traveling with two kids. The kids enjoyed the mini golf ⛳️.

They list this resort as a ski in ski out resort, but the cabins are at least 1/2 mile from the ski hill. The hot tub and pool are also located there, so we had to drive every time we wanted to enjoy the hot tub. The first night the jets and lights were not working on the hot tub, so that was pretty disappointing. The ski hill was very underwhelming and I could not imagine paying $80 for how tiny it was. It's probably great for kids and beginners, but I would never be able to spend a day there without getting bored within the first half hour. We ended up driving to Cascade Mountain because they actually made snow (the weather this year is unfortunately not in a skier's favor), and they had more runs and lifts open than Christmas Mountain. Mulligan's, the restaurant on site, is very over priced, so we only went there one time. It was unfortunate to have to drive about 15 minutes to go out to eat every time, or enjoy a beverage. I also received a phone call from the Concierge every single morning at 9am hounding us to do their presentation to become an owner of their Bluegreen timeshares. I told them every time I was not interested, but they continued to call. The cabin was clean, but definitely needed some updates. I just would never stay here again.

We love our stay at Timbers. Our cabin is very nice, quite, very cozy, and with a nice view. It is very spacious, and what we needed for a week is already in there. There's a laundry machine in our unit and we love it so much! It was a very fun Winter Trip and we will definitely be back!

We enjoyed the resort very much. Fun in the snow and some relaxing too. Come for the fun or simply for some quiet time. Just be ware skiing and tubing is only open certain days of the week. We also did some walking and felt perfectly safe!

Our time away was short but nice. We wanted a quiet vacation. Friendly staff and responsive to our needs (recycle garbage bags & clean sheets / towels needed because our adult children were coming for the weekend and we stayed part of the week) Although we were there at the end of January, it is nice to walk the property, use the outdoor hot tub (very nice) and swim laps / adult time (6a-9a). Facilities were clean and staff said hello and acknowledged you right away. The only thing we did not like is at Mulligan At Christmas Mountain (bar / restaurant), they only use a CC or debit card for ALL transactions. We got there early and were waiting at the bar & were watching the football game before the condo was ready. We did not like using CC / debit to pay for drinks at the bar. We had no clue how much the drinks cost until the end. Then … how do we know we if we were charged the accurate number of drinks. We like to pay cash for bar items when sitting at the bar. Went to eat at two great places. *Del-Bar (supper club) … 3rd time there. EXCELLENT food and service. Highly recommend to go on-line and put in a reservation. It is busy there. Nice atmosphere. & *Sarento’s (It says at their website it is “Casual eatery serving Italian favorites & pizza in a gold & red venue at the Wilderness Resort” IT is a supper club) … 1st time there. EXCELLENT Pizza and service. We will go back there again and try something else. Can’t wait. Not busy in January and beautiful / casual / elegant atmosphere. Stopped at Grateful Shed … funky fun flower power atmosphere with many food trucks under 1 roof. Fun place.

Beautiful resort and the guest services go above and beyond to make the trip memorable. Love the area, in the woods and we had a 3 bedroom which was beautiful. The tubing and skiing are great and we are actually here in the middle of a blizzard without a worry in the world

We stayed at Christmas Mountain many times. This time for 2 weeks. It’s been so wonderful. No, not an owner, but a platinum RCI member. I’ve had good luck getting in using weak points from other ownerships. The pine villas are great. They are handy to the pool as well. Mulligan’s (restaurant /bar) was great too. There were friendly employees there. The weather for snow didn’t cooperate, but being there was great. We saw several shows. We had friends and family visit including my 8 year old grandson. We will be back in the future.

Make sure to enjoy the pool and large outdoor hot tub, which is open year-round. The sauna is kept hot and ready even first thing in the morning. Bring papers and matches for the wood fire places. Get wood at their store/restaurant- nice, dry wood, same price as anywhere else.
