Once again the Manior des Porte did not disappoint. Under new management but no compromise on the freshness and quality of the food. I am looking forward to visiting again during bbq season when they will be running a grill outside in the summer. We have visited the restaurant in the past and have always found it charming. Congratulations on your new venture and wishing you every success

Friendly welcome and good experience. We will be back. We were lucky enough to be given upgraded large room. Good facilities. Coffee and tea making facilities in room. Comfortable bed. Clean bathroom. Good Demi-pension evening meal and breakfast.

Le Manoir Des Portes Lamballe A jewel in the Brittany countryside 910303749 Outstanding in every way. Beautiful location, wonderful service and superb food and accommodation. Located in stunning woodland on the edge of a village close to Lamballe, our hosts could not do too much to ensure our one-night stay was perfect. A jazz concert was happening on the lake next to the hotel which complemented the whole experience. Great walks and bike rides on the doorstep. A real find.

Lovely hotel in quiet coutnry surroundings with very friendly family owners could not do enough to help us. Evening meal was of very high quality this is no doubt one of the best Logis that we have stayed in and would highly recommend it to anyone

As we were visiting the Mathurin Méheut museum we decided to overnight at this hotel in a historic building. It is the absolute summum of peace and tranquillity in the midst of an estate with a large pond nearby. Despite a return to normal Breton temperatures (cool evenings) we ate outside with the only noise being the joyous sound of the owners grandchildren playing in the distance. The situation is particular at the moment as the restaurant is shut as the company running the hotel and restaurant pulled out at the beginning of the season. The owners of the place decided to take it on until a new lease could be arranged. Thus it is the charming owners who are running the place and the standards remain high. The restaurant being shut, evening meals are on the table d'hôte basis with a fixed menu, and a very good one it was too. We had a wonderful stay and looking forward to saying hello to Yvon on a next visit, even if he and his wife will hopefully have gone back to their retirement and left someone else to manage the place.

My husband and I actually followed Carole (Manageress) and her husband (the truly fantastic chef) around Brittany, in the knowledge that wherever they were, the standard of accommodation and quality of the food would be superb, and we have never been disappointed. The staff are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble, everything is spotlessly clean, and the food is a true gastronomic experience, and so beautifully presented. We were amazed that they were able to keep the place running throughout the two years of Covid lockdowns, and even more amazed when we were told the hotel was being closed at the end of June, at the start of the season. I wonder why, I suppose there must be a good reason for doing so, but what a disappoin**ent, it was a real shock to know we couldn’t return as usual in th autumn. The first time we came here we had a ground floor room, subsequently we have had a lovely large roo, over the breakfast room, and overlooking the beautiful gardens. It is pure bliss to sit out on the terrace under the big parasols to eat one’s meals, the place is so quiet and peaceful, is it any wonder we kept returning, sadly no more.

Perfect place for a 60th birthday weekend. We had a party of 22 people and had the whole hotel to ourselves. Nothing was too much trouble for Carole and William who are great hosts. The food was amazing. Very relaxed setting, cosy hotel and great access for St Malo.

très très moyen Repas à 40€, c'était bon, mais pour ce prix nous avons eu beaucoup mieux une bouteille d'eau 7€, café 3€ Chambre simple, literie correcte Heureusement que nous avions un bon travelzoo Notre séjour n'a pas été désagréable mais nous ne reviendrons pas. Personnel aimable et souriant

N'hésitez pas y aller, endroit calme et personnes accueillantes, serviables, arrangeantes et à l'écoute. Je suis venue suite rdv d'affaires, établissement bien situé. Je recommande et je reviendrai !!
