Booked this place as a last resort and that’s all it is. Billy’s bar has now changed to Kathy’s bar and that’s the best part of here. The place is just for a sleep head down etc. but not when theirs Ants running about everywhere you look plus number 21 decided to do a refurb 3 days out our 7 days they where smashing up the bathroom. Woke us at 8am and it lasted the full day. Around the corner there is some nice wee bars and shops are local plus the Lidl is beside it also. Kathy’s bar food is superb

Firstly I want to say kathys pool bar is brilliant as well as the friendly and helpful staff who work the bar. They are wonderful and really made our stay. Good food and drink at great prices and a very fun and social a**osphere. I also found hotel reception pleasant when I had to communicate with them too. This is the most basic accommodation I have stayed in and I don't mind basic but do like my apar**ent to be cleaned and it wasn't serviced and for this reason and the attitude of cleaning staff I wouldn't be coming back again or recommending this place to others. I come to lanzarote regularly and there are better basic places to stay even though I think these apar**ents are in a decent location and have really good things available in walking distance for any of your needs. Unfortunately you will end up spending money and time on cleaning the apar**ent so that its comfortable for you and family. On arrival we got into our room earlier than expected around 12.30 apposed to 14.00 which was great. Unfortunately the room hadn't enough beds for our party and the sofa isn't a bed. I went to reception and highlighted this and the issue was addressed no problem which was great. The beds are camp style beds there not really proper beds. The beds feel very unstable, I am 9 stone I was afraid to turn in my sleep incase it collapsed. Extremely uncomfortable alongside the pillows. Unfortunately we arrived during a rainy few days. Because its an apar**ent it was absolutely freezing inside and no heating. There where some thick blankets but really wasn't enough to stop you feeling cold in the night. Because of the down pour our towels had no where to dry off after we showered and because of the lack of sunshine we couldn't hang these outside. The room hadn't been serviced during our stay. I bought a range of cleaning products and cloths and air fresher and cleaned the rooms and bathroom as well as living room. I asked for bedding and towels to be changed and the reception was very pleasant and said they would send someone. Cleaner arrived very aggressively moving around our apar**ent making lots of noise and speaking to us in Spanish complaining about having to change the bedding and replace towels. It was very uncomfortable to the degree we left the room and left her to it. I had already kindly *****ped bedding and set all wet towels to one side.She was holding up wet towels and saying no! and looking at us. When we came she had replaced towels and bedding but done but nothing else was cleaned. I didn't ask for cleaning after this experience and had taken my towels to the landary across the way it's 5 to 7 euro for a wash and 5 euro for dryers. I really didn't want to put my family through the experience of a rude lady in our room so I never went back to reception about this. We found the apar**ent quiet when we arrived which was nice however half way through our stay a large party 2 parents and 4 teens came and stayed in the apar**ent next

Absolutely love these Apar**ents,we,ve stayed here 5 times,and never had one Complaint,Apar**ents are spotless,and Kathy's pool Bar is brilliant,looking to book again already,can't wait to go back,Hopefully see you all again soon..xx

Lovely, clean apar**ents, fantastic pool bar run by, friendly, lovely girls, Maureen and Ellen, not.forgetting Kathy. Best breakfast we had and very reasonably priced. Not crowded at all, sunbeds available. Hoping to go back later in the year to see everyone

Decent lcentral location .Good sized apar**ent with great sunny balcony.very clean ,comfortable beds front door not great.Kathys bar great food ,can't do enough for you Maureen's got great crac .we will be back .great resort plenty to do.

Kathy's pool bar made our holiday. ( Especially Mo..) Apar**ent very very basic Comfortable twin bed but very uncomfortable sofa bed😫 20 min walk in town ( *****) up 2 steep hills taxi €3 The pool was a real let down, Far to cold. Ants were a pain to Only get 1 towel change for 7 day's Only get 1 blanket and bed spread, so can be chilly in the night depending what month you go. Very smelly pillows Won't be returning!!!

Kathy's pool bar is great for sitting with a glass ot two of wine, along with some nice food to go along with the wine. It is a fairly small complex close to the old town, but still only a 15 minute walk down to the avienda, where there are numerous restaurants to choose from at night.

Booked as last minute..old and very tired apts..with the most basic of amenities...up a very steep hill Pool was freezing! Bar is good for b.fast etc One good point-very quiet at night Why people would return here again and again.. is a mystery! And don't believe the walking times given on here... Walk to the Lidle-5 mins Walk to the port-20 mins Walk to the *****-20 mins Not been to this side of the island before..not for us! Didnt realise the place is so up and down Calves are aching from going up and down the hills!! The whole area is scruffy and needs a good wash and upgrade You pay for what you get I suppose 🤷‍♀️ Back to Playa Blanca in future 🥰

Was a bit scared by some of the reviews so didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. Apar**ent was spotless. Had ground floor apar**ent overlooking the pool. Stayed for 8 nights. Will definitely return. In total we had 5 rooms and all of the family said they will return. We were there for Xmas and New Years Eve.
