There are other hotels and B&B's but not quite like this Palazzo! The junior suite was beautifully decorated and the whole house is steeped in history. The owner (Isabella) shared some of her story on how the house came to be as it is. If you want a modern hotel, this isn't it - but if you want something unique and a very friendly host, this is a great opportunity.

This is a great palazzo in the heart of Lecce. Parking was a bit of a trouble due to the courtyard being full of other guests cars, but we made it work. The home is a like staying in a museum and very charming with updated bathroom renovations. Would highly recommend.

We stayed in the palazzo last year in may. Marvellous experience. Really a palace full of beautiful furniture and art and a very friendly host. I forgot a T-shirt there. So we went back this year and were given the T-shirt with a coffee and a nice chat. Amazing service!

This was my second visit to Palazzo Bernadini, and I was very happy to be there. The rooms are eclectic, and have a wonderful charm, as do the owner/hosts. They are friendly, welcoming, and absolutely a delight to speak with. I was on a bicycle trip around Puglia, and they had a safe secure place to store my bicycle for the three days I was in Lecce. Everything from the booking through the checkout was very personable and friendly. I highly recommend staying here when in Lecce.

The house is lovely and the owners couldn't be more accommodating. Great location for exploring the historic center. The parking for me was challenging. The space was inside a very narrow entry, which you had to back into. My rental car did not have a back-up camera so this simply wasn't possible for me. So long as you are ok with backing into a very narrow space, it shouldn't be a problem. I just wish I had understood this ahead of time. Otherwise, Lecce is charming.

We fell on our feeding this absolute gem. Hidden away in Lecce this beautiful B&B was not easy to find and parking the car in the courtyard was even more challenging. But once found, it was worth the effort. Our large room, with a separate attached en suite, was beautiful decorated as was the whole apar**ent that forms this classical bed and breakfast. Breakfast was included and they catered for my gluten-free (Celiac) needs. Breakfast included coffee, juice, fruit and much more. We were met by the manager who helped us settle in and showed us around the beautiful apar**ent. You need to be aware that the owner of the apar**ent is about but in no way gets in the way. The B&B is centrally located right in the centre of the old city, so it is an easy walk to all the gates, cathedrals and all the other sites worth visiting in Lecce. We stayed two nights and I would highly recommend this accommodation. There is free WiFi, air conditioning (and heating) and a fridge and kettle in the room.

Fascinating Place. The location, the palace were amazing. Ioannis and Isabel are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was superb, with freshly squeezed orange juice, eggs, pasticciotto, yogurt, jam. The location is perfect to visit the city centre.

We booked this place on Airbnb as its location and the photos made it look awesome. We were there in January, which is the not greatest time to stay in an old historic property. It was cold and dreary, the furniture was uncomfortable, the beds were like trampolines, and we just could not imagine staying here even one night. They also listed a photo of a room that doesn't exist in the rooms we booked. Its location is amazing, and if you are interested in having the 'old palace' experience, then this is for you. But I would recommend warmer months when it may be more comfortable. I would highly recommend the owners make the most of this beautiful building by updating the furniture and lighting and making it much more cozy. We ended up finding another listing and had a wonderful experience in a historic property that WAS updated and modern.

This was our third visit and it is always a joy to stay at Palazzo Bernardini which is in a great location. The building is steeped in history which the owner Isabella is happy to share with you. Nothing is too much trouble for the team and the shared breakfast experience is great fun. My only improvement suggestion would be to upgrade the shower in the rooms to an easier to use more efficient system.
