I'm writing this as a solo traveler, but I felt very unsafe at this hotel for many reasons. The location is great (right in the city center), but you must enter the hotel through a two-car garage and enter a very small elevator with a key card (once checked in). Staff does not stay there in the evening, so if your key card does not work (which happened to a couple staying there), you're standing in the dark in an alley. There are restaurants nearby, but I hadn't even sat down (outside) at a table waiting for my room to be ready when I was approached by a man selling trinkets and being very persistent. Once inside my room, I was given one towel, the TV didn't work, and I had to ask for the WIFI code. There were no instructions inside regarding how to turn the heat down in the room, so the room was very warm. The shower leaked, so there was water on the floor in the bathroom. The only positive was the staff person was very nice. I will also add the parking is in a new garage, but it's 10 minutes away (not that big of a deal) but getting into the garage and getting out was not for the faint of heart. The entry/exit was a spiral and ridiculously narrow. I had to get help from the parking attendant to drive my car out of the garage. Needless to say, the whole experience was horrible, and I left Southern Italy and came back to the US. I believe if the hotel had been a nice experience, my view of Lecce would have been very different than what it is now.
