Premier Inn Leicester (Forest East)

You are always guaranteed a clean room with comfortable bed and an ideal stop over point on your travels. USed as a stop over on our way up North.. ideally placed for a half way stop from Suffolk to Yorkshire, Only 5 mins from M1 and easily accessible. Easy check in - no matter how late it was.

No receptionist for the longest time so we had to wait - and eventually call a central number that put us through, so they turned up (immediately upon calling) - despite having comprehensively ignored the buzzer at reception side. No place to charge the car. Dirty and not vacuumed carpets. Heating from last century. Flaky (literally, flakes missing) from furniture. Noise from outside and noise from inside was pretty bad.

The hotel is easy to find and the grounds are particularly pleasant and tidy. Check in was efficient and speedy and secure key card entry to the accomodation is very reassuring. The room was very clean but a little cold on arrival as the window had been left open. We also had to request another bath towel as there was only one between 2 of us. Dinner in the restaurant was fine but even though there were 3 members of staff on duty, the bar and restaurant was often left unattended. The breakfast was well cooked and delicious and the breakfast staff were very friendly and welcoming. Overall the hotel is good and we would stay there again.

If you just want to sleep overnight it’s clean. A bit uncomfortable with limited space but alright for one night

Brilliant hotel. As you expect from Premier Inn, room eas immaculate and the staff were lovely, helpful and professional. The reception was unmanned on arrival due to the team in the newly taken over restaurant next door, so had to buzz to be seen, but despite clearly being stressed juggling restaurant and reception the lady on duty was excellent and remained polite, professional and had a brilliant manner. Room was spotless and well kept. Mattress was worn, but as long as you slept in the "groove" had a great sleep. Didn't use the restaurant in the evening as had been advised it was now in house, so stopped off at a the Griff Beefeater on the way, but used the restaurant for breakfast. Dan in restaurant was brilliant, but the hot food was served on a cold plate, so was cold quite quickly and the coffee machine broke down during service. All teething problems for a new in house team, so no major issues, hopefully it will improve with time.

Tidy rooms, comfy bed. Good breakfast & plenty parking. Rooms were abit warm as there was no Air Con.
