Decameron Decalodge Ticuna

We spend almost a week in the Decalodge and we just loved it. It is such a relaxing spot in buzzling Leticia and still the towncenter is just a short walk away. We really appreciated everyone's service. Although English was hardly spoken we could communicate perfectly and everybody was just helpful and very kind. Thank you so much to all of the members who made our stay amazing. The food in the restaurant is very good. The pool and everything else is well taken care off. The rooms are huge and very comfortable.

This hotel is incredible. My partner and I are avid travellers and have visited many hotels over the years (4+ stars). The decalodge was probably one of the best experiences we’ve had - especially considering the location. Not only is this hotel the most beautiful and modern in the area, but the service was top-notch. Staff were extremely friendly, and consistently went above and beyond — with a smile. There is wifi, air conditioning (which is extremely important for us and our sleep!), a pool and breakfast and dinner are included in the pricing. Remember this is in Leticia, and it’s very hard to find a hotel/resort that checks every bucket - but this one did. Be sure to also visit the Brazil zoo (which is actually an animal-release Sanctuary) It’s only 15,000 cop drive (you can walk, but it is far - especially in the sun). I would 100% stay ant the Decameron again and highly recommend it if you value bug-free sleeps and A/C.

Very good experience overall. Our room was quite big with two queen beds, a lavatory separate from the shower and wc, and plenty of room to move around with working Air conditioning and ceiling fans. A hammock and a sofa in the foyer without Air Conditioning but walls and nets to prevent insects its nice. Every meal had 5 options to choose from, and all of it was good. Plenty of local fruits and fish. Basic and traditional cocktails. Very kind and helpful service from every employee.

The staff is friendly and hardworking. The tours were awesome. We saw pink dolphins and visited monkey island plus a couple of other stops. We also took a hike through the rainforest to a lagoon. Food at the hotel is delicious. We are going back with the rest of the family in December.

We wanted a little splurge so we picked this beautiful small resort. The service was great, with all the staff going out of their way to accommodate Americans who don't speak hardly any Spanish. The food was amazing, as were the drinks, and the pool was a treat after a hot and humid day out doing tours. Highly recommend! We will surely be back. Suggest taking boat tours and NOTE that those all leave from the Leticia dock, which is a short walk from the resort, through a neighborhood on Fantasy Island. It's an experience! If you have mobility issues, ask the resort about hiring you a small boat to get you to the dock.

We stayed for 4 nights in February. A booking of three people with two rooms, my wife and I in one and my father-in-law in another. Upon arrival it was made clear that early check-in was unavailable and we'd have to wait until 3pm even though it was plain to see the rooms were ready and the previous guests were long gone. Two hotel staff gave lengthy talks about the facilities but mainly on tours and only in Spanish with no effort to translate or alternatives for non-spanish speaking guests. Do your research and look around at other tour companies, we used George of the Jungle as they have English speaking guides. It became apparent that no hotel staff spoke English even the management and there were zero attempts to assist with the language barrier. Luckily for me my wife and father-in-law are bilingual, Spanish and English speaking therefore had to translate the necessary information. That may sound simple but continuously translating is tiring and not what you want to be doing on a restful holiday. After lunch and a walk we returned to reception only to find one of the rooms wasn't ready as the a/c was not working. We all went to the room that was ready which was mine and my wife's. Pleasant enough although the room was very hot. It was after 4pm and we hadn't heard whether the 2nd room was ready so headed to reception who called up maintenance and said it was ready, no initiative to contact us, we were constantly having to chase. My father-in-law gets to his room and the a/c hasn't been fixed so has to get maintenance back in and luckily gets it working. At this time we have a look at his room and it's double the size of ours which was baffling as he was single occupancy and we were a pair. It became apparent the room my wife and I were staying in didn't have working a/c but it was late and got through the first night with the fans. We informed reception of the issue but they said we had to be in the room whilst they checked the problem, we were on our way to a tour so had to revisit the issue upon our return that afternoon. Maintenance did some checks and convinced us that the unit was cooling down and will be working shortly. It did not cool down and by the time we came back to our room it was late and we were too tired to have someone in our room trying to fix the a/c unit especially as my wife was in the early stages of pregnancy and needed to rest. Additionally I was chasing a huge cockroach out of the room. On the third day we spoke to reception again but they said the same thing, we needed to be there so the issue was only checked in the evening and they asked us to leave it on whilst we had dinner and get back to us. To no surprise the unit was still not working, we returned to reception, by this point it was 9pm, and they finally offered a resolution which was to change rooms. The staff was amazing… they go out of their way to make your stay wonderful. The excursions offered by the hotel were top notch, experienced guides and very authentic.

Thanks to its manager Edgar, who does an excellent job by being present at every moment of the stay and asking every guest about their experience at the hotel. To the chef and the restaurant thank you, they provide excellent service, unparalleled authentic food and great taste. The service of Decameron Explorer is incredible, with the attention of Juliana and Manuel, a magical Amazon experience is achieved. As a family we wish to return soon for our next holiday! A small suggestion: how about a small butterfly farm as an attraction of the hotel Decameron Ticuna? Blessings to this beautiful Decameron Ticuna team.

The food is very good, because of COVID the option of buffet does not exist anymore but they have a decent menu with at least 3 options different every day. This is a hotel all inclusive (for breakfast and lunch or dinner) The bedrooms have AC and fans.
