Hotel da Peppe

Stayed 10 days here. Asked for another room after 3 nights, in a small room overlooking the buildings opposite. Noise all night, terrible. Second room much better. The breakfast was ok, same food every morning. Staff uninterested in anything you had to say, bordering on rude. Dinner in their restaurant was appalling. Staff rude, food not great. Being vegetarian, which they knew about, was an absolute joke. Pasta every evening. I could only choose cheese or omelette. Asked for a salad, got a plate of lettuce with olive oil. Omelette greasy with soggy lettuce. Gave up and went out to the lovely restaurants nearby. No coffee/tea facilities in rooms. Had to buy all your drinks, even water. No information about anything in the hotel, if you ask they speak little English and are not interested. Would never go back there, such a shame as Sicily is so beautiful.

We chose this hotel because we hoped to avoid the tourist crowds and to experience the real Sicily. The hotel is extremely charming, clean, wonderful terrace with beautiful plants, unfortunately, they only serve breakfast there. What is positive about this hotel: interior decoration, excellent location, cleanliness, access to the beach with sunbeds and umbrella, restaurant with a wonderful view, continental breakfast with a decent selection of pastries, cured meats, and cereals. The negative side is that the hotel is oriented towards Italian, German and Polish guests. If you are from Britain, you will not feel welcome. Most of the workers don't speak English, although, that's not the problem, the problem is the way they address you and poor customer service, especially from the tall man in the restaurant, who was some kind of manager. The rooms are very simple, we didn't have a fridge, in a hot country like Sicily that is unacceptable. We had breakfast and dinner paid for. Breakfast was decent, but dinner was a different story. Every night you will have pasta to start which was only delicious twice. The main course was edible, we had twice a fresh fish which was delicious and that was it. As a dessert, every night was some fruit. One time they gave us pasta that was uncooked. All in all, we regretted paying for dinner, a waste of money. We could have eaten at local restaurants for that money. On the beach, the lifeguard was extremely kind, but all the seats in the first row were reserved for Italians, and on weekends, the second row. We did not feel comfortable in the hotel or in the restaurant, we did not enjoy the food, and the staff was mostly unfriendly. We felt like second-class citizens. As a family-run business, they should better customer service. Instead, we felt very disappointed by staying in this hotel. We had a great time in Taormina, enjoyed the boat trip, food in other restaurants, drinks as well. In case you make the mistake of going to this hotel, be sure to go to the gelato and pastry shop Niny, fantastic. You can drink great coffee in the morning, enjoy gelato, granita, cakes, and pastries in the afternoon and have some cocktails, wine, and other alcoholic beverages until late at night, with a selection of sneaks that comes with drinks, the staff is wonderful and super helpful. The restaurant that belongs to the hotel doesn’t provide any snacks with drinks. Bottom line, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and would never visit again.

A original artistic Hotel, Peppe (the owner) is an institution in the area of Taormina and Letojanni. Familiar ambiance, very great location, always fresh sea food, quality wine selection, great cocktails, relaxing beach, pleasant beach-service and great service. Taormina is just 5/6 kilometers far, easy and interesting possibilities for others excursions as: Etna, Savoca, Castelmola, Alcantara gorges… I will come back for sure 👍🏼🤗❤️

i recommend this place. it is a sweet lovely hotel, our room was small but clean, quiet with view to the sea. beach right next to the hotel with free sun beds. the weak point was the breakfasts, really little choice and nothing hot to eat. But in front of the hotel is a cafeteria with delicious coffee. Hotel offers very tasty dinners with the possibility of exchanging for other types of food. Restaurant is by the see. if we come back in Sicily, we will choose this hotel again because of the a**osphere and the beach.

Hotel pagato per una notte a circa 50 euro a persona con colazione inclusa. I punti a favore vanno per i servizi funzionanti e la posizione veramente ottima. Le camere, l'hotel e l'ascensore non hanno per niente un buon aspetto, le luci sono quasi inesistenti. In generale lo consiglio, però sappiate che è un posto molto antico, di moderno non c'è nemmeno la reception.

Tutto perfetto, personale squisito cibo top .are vicinissimo e stupendo proprietari disponibili, ti senti con.e a casa consiglio vivamente torneremo sicuramente grazie a tutti voi dallo staff ai proprietari

Non c'e dove posteggiare e poi ti fanno paghare 10 euro per una brutta colazione. Il ristorante e' pure un 'tourist trap'. Vi consiglio di andare in altri posti dove la gente e trattata migliore. Mai piu.

Andrebbe tutto rifatto . Colazione con un solo tipo di brioches immangiabile, caffè da distributore. Cena tipo mensa ma pure scadente. Pulizie e manutenzione arredi molto insoddisfacenti. Di certo non ritorneremo. Per fortuna abbiamo noleggiato un' auto e siamo andati a scoprire i dintorni perché anche il paese offre pochissimo. Detto questo siccome siamo persone che si sanno adeguare, ci siamo goduti ugualmente le nostre vacanze.

Das Hotel da Peppe hat uns sehr gut gefallen! Unser Zimmer in der zweiten Etage war gemütlich und wohnlich eingerichtet. Es gab viel Stauraum für Kleidung, einen Kühlschrank, eine Klimaanlage und einen kleinen Balkon. Die Leute vom Hotel waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Auswahl zum Frühstück war sehr gut, auch Obst war immer dabei. Das Hotel liegt nahe am Strand, die Sonnenschirme und Liegen sind inklusive. Das hoteleigene Restaurant hat eine sehr gute Küche. Vielen Dank für den angenehmen Aufenthalt!
