Premier Inn Lewes Town Centre

We stayed at Monty’s for one night whilst walking the South Downs Way. Ours really was a very short stop as we arrived at 6.30pm and left again the following morning at 9am. However The Monty’s courtyard is a quirky spacious apar**ent for two and had everything we needed and more. Vicky left us cake , and milk and orange juice in the fridge and tea and coffee . Lovely toiletries and fluffy towels and a very comfy bed. It is right in the centre of town , so you might expect it to be noisy , but it was very quiet . Breakfast cafes are abundant in the vicinity , so no problem there. We would stay again if we need somewhere in Lewes.

It was clean, easy check in and out, and the comfiest beds. Breakfast was spot on. Staff were friendly but big thumbs up for Soukayna who was very attentive and accommodating. Overall it was a pleasant experience for our autistic daughter’s first night away from home. We will definitely be returning.

The room was clean and comfortable. The friendly staff found a bathmat which was in my room on my return in the evening. Soukayna gave us a lovely welcome at breakfast and provided great service with a friendly smile. It was an all round great stay and I'll definitely be returning.

Noisy room, (101), friendly helpful staff, excellent breakfast, dinner as last resort - plenty of interesting restaurants in immediate vicinity.

Very clean, comfortable room and restaurant. The public car park is immediately to the rear which is handy. Impressed by the security and their excellent friendly staff

We arrived at the hotel at 2.35pm and was greated by the receptionist. I was advised check-in commences at 3pm but I can check in "early" for a £10 fee. I asked if the room was ready and was told yes. So I asked why I had to wait 25 minutes. I was told hotel policy....Pay the fee or wait. I have been to numerous hotels the world over and have never ever been told to wait until exactly 3pm before I can check in If out was 12pm or 1pm I could maybe understand the fee. BUT 2.35PM!!! Absolutely ridiculous customer service. The customer is the heart of the business. If the room was ready, where was the harm in letting us check in "early"

We stayed at the Premier In last year and we were so happy there that we decided to stay there this year again. The rooms are very spacious and the breakfast is really good as well. Children eat for free. You are right in the middle of the town center and in walking distance from Waitrose and a lot of restaurants. You can find all these things in other hotels as well, but and it’s a huge but the staff is without exaggeration the most friendly staff I have met in my life. Especially for a hotel like this. Sue, Carla, Ben,Monica, John and Gino were ever so helpful and made us feel so welcome. Every question was always answered with a smile and they gave us a lot of information about Lewes and what to do and where to go. Thank you again for your hospitality. You guys made our stay special ❤️

The hotel is in need of refresh. The rooms look tired and were not as clean as you would expect. We have stayed here many times as we have family in Lewes. The hotel remains reasonable value for money but if standards slip any further, we will stop using this hotel. The shower was poor as was the selection of coffees, two sachets of Nescafé for a two day stay. No water either. Disappointing overall
