- We were driving all the way from South Padre Island, TX to Little Rock, AR and had anticipated a late check-in at the hotel. Because of that, we had called the hotel in the AM of 29-DEC and spoken to Lisa. She had assured us that it would not be any problem for the late arrival, and it was a common scenario.
- However, the overnight front-desk clerk was less than friendly. She would not open the main door upon arrival (at ~1 AM on 30-Dec) after ringing the doorbell multiple times. Additionally, she had cancelled our reservation prematurely stating that no one had informed her of our late arrival. Further, she was very rude, would not listen and forced us to purchase a new stay at a higher rate. She neither cared about our existing reservation nor how tired we were after a long day of driving. It felt like she was trying to take advantage of our situation.
- On the other hand, the morning staff (Lisa and another lady) were very friendly and professional. They were able to totally understand our situation and reverted the transactions to honor our original reservation.
