Wonderful stay, I have stayed in few hotels near kings cross but this one is very good. Loved the room with windows. Friendly and helpful staff. Location is perfect, very close to Russell Square and kings cross stations. Good service and amenities, loved the washroom as well with bath tub.

Clean hotel. Good location. Friendly and helpful staff. Bar food menu has good selection but not sure why starter and main are delivered at same time, or as also happened, main arrived before starter and both were left on the table.

I did not stay at the Tavistock Hotel this trip, although I have stayed there several times in the past and liked it very much. I called the Tavistock the day before my reservation and they told me I did not have a reservation because of trouble with my credit card. They could have told me this weeks ago but did not. I would have remedied the credit card situation. The person on the phone was very unhelpful and unclear so I did not make a new reservation which i could have done. Luckily, I got a reservation in a beautiful place in South Kensington. I was disappointed because I had stayed at the Tavistock many years ago on my honeymoon.

Great staff and very helpful. No air-conditioning, which was an issue but a fan was provided.
I was very surprised when Trip tried to charge me the equivalent of £40 per person per day for breakfast, which I declined. I paid the hotel direct, which cost £12 per person per day. this is sharp practice and I am very unlikely to use this booking engine again.

The Tavistock Hotel is a gem in the heart of leafy Bloomsbury. The Art Deco styling is charming, as is the welcome. They had been considerate to our booking requests when allocating our room, even though they were fully booked. The room was comfortable; with black out curtains and good double glazing, to aid sleep. Breakfast was tasty and, even though the hotel was full, well-stocked throughout service. Something I wanted had gone but a chef personally brought some to our table! It is certainly a very classic, good value central London hotel.

Hotel location is good, about 5-10 minutes walk to nearby Russell Square Underground or Euston Rail station. Room is small but acceptable in price. Breakfast is highly recommended. Traditional English breakfast with many choices and refilled very fast.

Basic hotel with good location: 5 min walk to Russell Square station, 10 min to Euston station.

The hotel is conveniently located. Room is clean and quiet. Staff provides good services. Food at restaurant is just okay.
