This hotel is a case of you get what you pay for. It was very close to the venue we were attending, and it was cheap, so plumped for this over the travelodge, but I wouldn’t do it again. I was a bit concerned about some of the reviews, and in this case my experience was the same, although I can’t speak for other rooms.
The hotel entry is clean and bright, but the rooms are not soundproofed, tired decoratively with a lot of chipped paint, poorly cleaned (bathroom in particular in room 19), small and if you dont like a very soft mattress and cushion sized pillows I would not recommend staying here - there was no support at all. The double room we stayed in had floor space of around 3x5ft, no room for luggage etc, which is difficult with two adults staying for 3 nights.
A final ****** was the fact that there was no privacy from the large window, which looked directly across into another room on one side, or the upstairs corridor. We had to leave the blind fully down and the light on whenever we were in the room. A bit of privacy film on the window pane would be an easy fix.
Selection of self serve drinks downstairs was good. We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel.
We didn’t speak to anyone at the hotel about the issues at the time, given we weren’t in the room very much, but when I need to come to Peckham in future I’ll be looking at other options.
